How much effort should you expect from someone who wants to date you?

If someone wants to date me I expect them to take every opportunity they have of seeing me. If that means getting up early to get somewhere they know I will be I expect the to do that. But in turn this also sounds stalkerish. So how much effort should someone who wants to date you make?

I expect them to put in as much effort as I am, nothing more nothing less. If they choose to go above and beyond for me because that’s just who they are as a person then that’s fine, but I also don’t want him going out of his way or feels like he has to and it’s not on his own accord.
