Went out for a date with a guy a guy I like but he has bad breath. Do guys prefer if girls honestly tell them that they have bad breath?

I would tell him regardless of if i stay or leave.
because if you like him and want to continue with him, you don’t want him to smell.

and if you decide you can’t continue with him because this was too much a turnoff, at least you can prepare him for his next posible love match. Even if it makes him feel bad, it’s better to say it because if everyone is more concerned about how you’re gonna make him feel by telling him then nobody will tell him and people will continue to just walk away and he won’t know why.

I don't know maybe some men or people in general would not like to be told this but sometimes the person doesn’t notice.

it could be he eats too much garlic or onion based foods and that’s a smell that comes from writhing not just brushing the teeth

or it could be he has a cavity or doesn’t brush teeth or tongue properly. Some people confuse aggressive lluvia brushing with proper brushing..

it could be a number of reasons but if nobody mentions it then he will never know he had to figure out how to fix it. Most people can’t smell their own bad breath.

Yes, tell him. Please, for the love of God tell him. When we have problems like that, we want to know so we can fix them. If we have food on our faces, if our shirt is inside-out, if we have bad breath or if we have something stuck in our teeth, please tell us. It's so much less embarrassing to be told than to find out on your own afterward. If you're worried about seeming rude, bring some mints with you next time. Offering someone a mint is the universal way to say "Hey, you have bad breath. Fix it." without showing that you're too upset about it.
