A year ago a guy (21) asked me out I rejected him as I was freshly out of a bad experience with someone. We ended up as friends hung out sporadically throughout out the year, he’d always ask if I was seeing anyone. In December we got boba and at the end he took me to his parents house, met his mom, talked to them and then him and I just chilled by the fireplace. Now we’re in July and I feel ready to start something new so I asked him out to dinner and he mentioned he was seeing someone and that it was pretty serious, but he still asked when I was turning 21 so we could go get drinks after work and we were both really open about everything and had a really good convert. I don’t know what to do but it feels like I just lost someone who was so worth it because I couldn’t get my shit together.

You actually had you s**t together when you rejected him. You acted the only right way after a breakup and that was to say no to his proposal.

He is not the only person that is worth looking at in this world and you should take your time and not hurry anything before committing again to another man. There is no hurry. Better wait a few years and make the right decision rather than just to take the next available person. You don't want to make the same error twice.

If he is in a relationship, then leave him be and don't attempt anything that could lead to a breakup with his new girlfriend.
