Depends, honestly. I didn't realize my girlfriend had a tattoo until we slept together for the first time. Personally I think women can have tattoos, but there is a limit to how much is too much.
For me if it is something small that can be hidden by clothes or like one large sole piece like a half sleeve or full sleeve on a leg or arm or maybe back or stomach that is okay for me. But when it comes to multiple sleeves or when the body becomes like a walking art exhibit is where it gets too much for me.
I had always been on the fence about tattoos and have one now myself with probably one or two more I want later, but personally, I would be a hypocrite for saying I don't like them on women. There is a limit like I stated.
Plus, there is the stigma that women with tattoos have mental health or daddy issues galore and it can ring true to a degree, but I say it plays into the amount of tattoos and the location.
Overall, I am ok with it so long as it isn't overboard.
Why when tattoos are mentioned on here, someone posts someone with full body or face tattoos?
I am perfectly fine with tattoos and some look really good. Also some tats are hidden completely and in some cases you would not know until they were fully naked. It’s almost if a tree falls in an empty forest thing. If a girl had a tattoo in a non visible area, do you know she has a tattoo unless she tells you?
I’ve dated girls with a good bit of ink and some with a little and some with none. I don’t date the ink I date the girl.
I STRONGLY prefer all-natural women - like my girlfriend. I could overlook one of two small tattoos (as long as they weren't on her face, neck, boobs, or vulva area), but anything more is a deal-breaker.
But they are also helpful, because they let you know right away about her values and critical thinking skills, and that can save time knowing what they are without having to work hard to figure it out.
All natural as in small boobs?
@beefcakebradybatson You think all natural boobs are small?
I've never heard of SMALL implants.
@beefcakebradybatson First, small implants exist. Second, my question was about natural boobs, not implants.
Sorry, MrOracle !!!
I do not like tattoos at all. I would not date a woman who has tattoos. Absolute deal breaker. And i would not hire a woman with tattoos to work in my office.
Well, that says a lot about what type of workplace that is.
Is this the type of workplace where boomers complain about how "woke" people are and how everyone gets their feeling hurt these days, then gets offended over someone having tattoos? 🙄
How mad would you be if she got tatted after you hired her and had already been working there for years?
I don’t care what others think of my workplace. I am proud of our office staff and we have an excellent reputation in the community.
@ThatGuyAaron. Who says i was offended? That’s just something you made up so you would have something to throw back in my face. That failed.
@sirderpsalot. Our staff all understand that we want to present a very conservative and traditional image and i don’t expect any of them would ever do that.
@Kingofkings1992. You may boycott my office. I make my choice and you make your choice.
@OlderAndWiser see, that’s your problem. You’re concerned about a false image instead of what actually makes a person a quality employee. Get a grip. Police officers, nurses, teachers, all kinds of well respected fields employ people who have tattoos in 2024.
@Kingofkings1992 So you have a low tolerance for people who don't agree with? You should work on that.
"So you have a low tolerance for people who don't agree with?" Says the one who has zero tolerance for people who made the personal choice to get tattoos... absolutely no self awareness.
@OlderAndWiser no, I’m very much accepting of those who have different opinions than me. I’m not saying everyone should have tattoos or everyone has to like them. Where I draw the line at is denying someone a basic human right like employment because of having tattoos. Denying someone employment should be based on good, ethical, and sound reasoning. Not someone’s personal preference in appearance. The dude above me kinda has a point you know. You’re telling me I lack tolerance for those who are different, while refusing to hire a single person because of them having tattoos? You have to see how ridiculous that is don’t you?
I don’t chase after people to tell them that their tattoos look stupid, or that their opinion is stupid, unless my opinion is requested. That is tolerance for differences. Employment is not a basic human right simply because you say it.
Unemployed people don’t a right to sue me if i don’t hire them because of their tattoos. If i refuse to hire them because of race, religion, National origin. . . They have a right to sue, but not because of don’t want to see their tattoos. If you want to hire only people who have tattoos, that is your right. Understand?
Refusing to hire the ideal candidate simply because they have tattoos is NOT exercising tolerance.
"Tolerance" doesn't mean EVERYTHING has to be tolerated. As long as the rules apply to everyone, there's no issue.
You don't choose your race, sex, or sexual orientation, nor your height, natural hair color, and the like. You (everyone) DO have complete control over whether or not you have tattoos, and whether or not they are visible in work attire.
That's never been a secret - but some people don't take that knowledge seriously until it's too late, but that's not going to change the reality.
You want to be in a corporate job, especially a customer-facing corporate job? Most won't hire you with visible tattoos. That's reality.
Happy with working as a roofer, mechanic, chopper shop, or tattoo parlor? Then visible tattoos probably aren't going to be a problem.
You don't have to like it or agree with it, but that's how the world works, and it isn't likely to change. The trend is moving the other way, actually.
Your age group is so rigid. Good luck finding quality, creative, diligent people!!
No tats please. Although ironically I dated women who had small tats that I never saw on them until later lol.
Show me a women with tattoos and short hair and I'll show you a woman who would be more attractive with no tattoos and long hair.
For most women; unless it's very small tattoos, they're a way to wear trauma on the body. They're literally traumatizing to the skin tissue (for life).
I chose depends.
I think women with tattoos are hot. Same for women without. I feel it should match their personality. What they wear, what they like doing... However, I feel I have more interest in a woman without tattoos or ones that have been covered up by clothing.
I think women are awesome just as they are. I really don't like tattoos on women. For me, tattoos are something that sailors wore back in the days of wooden ships! I would definitely not be interested in dating a piece of abstract art!
Preference would obviously be without , its something that has become far too prevalent , accepted , and well over done..
Sadly its well and truly flowed over here , just as it did in Australia.
A small cheeky tat is fine, but mostly I think they ruin her natural looks. But she's probably not having them done for me and I hear they are very addictive so it wouldn't prevent me from falling for a girl.
Women with tats look like criminals, also I don't have tats myself, so I prefer without tats.
Some little discrete tats are ok. Like a little butterfly on an ankle, or wrist. But I’m not into the full arm or body. That’s too much.
NO TATTS - I've never liked tattoos, but even less on women, they are so unattractive. I've had to deal with too many on friends and family that have 'gone wrong'.
Depends on how liberal she went with them. If she was more conservative on the number of tatts, l wouldn’t mind.
Afterthought: if her tatts are blurry and she smokes Pall Mall’s, no fn way.
I don't like tattoos on women.. they look trashy and it makes her look like a dude.. but the small ones I can tolerate.. they can be even sexy sometimes.
Most men of a certain class and demographic (educated, high income, etc.) will instantly reject any girl with tattoos (with some exceptions). It can really make someone un-dateable.
If I fall for this woman then discover a tattoo or two I'm done anyway.
I'd prefer none but if all her body was covered and couldn't see until privileged then I'm already there.
I'm good either way. If she has tatts they should be tasteful and be important to her.
depends... on which, where, how many, and what kind...
Either or is fine with me, unless they have obscene or offensive tattoos. It's weird to me how some people get so worked up over someone, especially women, having tattoos.
Very few or zero. Sorry ladies it's not attractive to most men, going by the votes.
Are they tasteful?
Is it too much?
Is it in wrong body parts?
I'd take the no tats
Preferably no tattoos they aren't something I find attractive, among other things.
Personally? Small tattoos but sleeves and neck tats... pass
Some tattoos are okay (smaller is better). I hate tattoos on the legs or chest.
Im not a fan of tattoos!
I dont mind few small ones but entire body, turn off for me, turn on for someone not like me!
Without. Tattoos on ANYBODY look kinda trashy.
I can not stand tattoos tattoos are disgusting I despised them as a child and despise them now to this day.
Pretty simple
False
@DrPepper12 no it's actually true.
tattoos are for fucking morons who live in their own delusional world
Tattoos are a turnoff for me. And whether she has tattoos or not will be a difference in whether I approach or not.
