2 moThat really depends on where the date is. If you two are going to a restaurant, bringing home-baked bread might be frowned upon by the restaurant staff and the chef in particular, who may take it as an insult.
If it's more informal, it may be an excellent idea.
Of course, it's your choice. Do what makes sense for you.

2 moSure. One of the best dates I ever went on, i thought we were going out to eat at a local restaurant and she made a homemade meal, surprised me, and we turned it into a picnic. Not going to lie, I didn't really like the food, but the idea had more effort behind it from the women then any other first date i ever went on. The way she surprised me made not liking the food and getting to know her so worth it. It didn't work out in the end but 10 out of 10 for effort. I'll say to this day that was probably one of the most worth it women i ever met and I ate ever bite of that meal I didn't really like. So i say bake the bread.

That requires so many other pre-questions. Like are you a baker? Is this symbolic, or literal like cause you guys need something to eat? …Is This that a hobby/profession of yours? Does your date know anything about bread? How much do you know about bread? Etc. etc.

I do know how to bake not professionally but it’s good, he’s also really sweet and a little thickums
2 moCome on, you can do better than bread. Maybe if you are thinking about sex on the first date and want to drop a tip, use this Christmas cake.

Don't ask us
Yes you should there is a reason you had that thought so somewhere in time it means something.
And if not today it could mean something 5 years from now.
So yes bake some bread. But now you have to share
I think I need to learn how to make and bake bread52 Reply- 2 mo
love this answer
I am glad you did not bake the bread lol. In case anybody else is wondering something like this, no I would not do something like this for a first date. If you were baking bread anyway and the date got some as well as other people getting some, that would be OK, but if you baked something just for a first date, I think that might seem a little much. JMO!

2 moI don't see an issue with that if you guys are going on a picnic and he likes bread. But I wouldn't go out of my way too much on a first date. It should just be about getting to know the person. Save the wifey benefits for when you're in a serious committed relationship. That's just my take on it.

2 moI think it’s quite a novel idea , why not show your skills and show your skills at being able to take of one of man’s 3 basic appetites.
Would certainly ‘peak’ my interest at what could be on the menu for dessert further down the line.
Just don’t be in a hurry to get a “ bun in the oven “

2 mo"Should"? There is no right or wrong answer but if you can bake and you want to bake a guy some bread, I'd go for it.
If baking and making good food is something you plan to do for your man then displaying that upfront, so I guy can know what he'd be getting if you two end up together, is a good idea.

We never have good homemade bread.
Mom used to make beer bread.
We will have to make that sometime.

2 moSure, why not? Not everyone likes conventional. Don't forget the butter and/or honey.
I make jam every fall, and usually have several jars of it. If I was asked on a date like this I'd definitely bring the jam. And maybe cheese and wine.
By the way, I just found a bread maker at a garage sale last week. Got it for $10. I've wanted one for years, and finally got one. Haven't tried it yet.10 Reply - 2.2K opinions shared on Dating topic.
2 moOnly if baking bread is something you do all the time. Otherwise, it's too over the top. Bread baking is more for family and friends, not someone you don't know well. They might not like home baked bread.
Leave that for when you know someone better.10 Reply 2K opinions shared on Dating topic. If a picnic - yeah do it. If going to a cafe you could just wrap it up so you don't look like you are bringing your own food.
Freshly baked bread smells great. So it is hard not to like it.

2 moA quite nice idea. Just make sure that it isn't that fluffy industrial type of... ''bread'' that you would also find in regular supermarkets.
A man who appreciates ''real'' bread is a man who's good to spend a life with :D

It would be cream cheese stuffed bolillo
2 moNo, only if he is homeless and hungry. WTF are you thinking? don't tell him you can bake bread. Stop being a " pickmesha".

Actually he’s bought me many nice gifts and he loves food we sort of know each other but this is our first date date
My mom baked my dad biscuits for the first date.
He took a bite out of it and threw it at the wall like a baseball
He told her she has to learn how to cook before they get married 😭😭😭
She bakes from scratch now30 Reply2.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. If you are eating at home you betcha.
I have never had a first date where someone cooked dinner for me.

Anonymous(30-35)2 moI'd second those guys saying keep it for later.
That feels quite sincere, or personal as one guy said. Keep your distance/standards first so you don't get easily mixed up.22 Reply- 2 mo

Opinion Owner2 moIf you insist then your call as per same comment all over. I just mean if you're on friendly terms and comes from something, sure. But if just first, not best. At least, when you make it, then make it to seek how it goes and means, not just feelings from your side. But utilize it to learn about him this time and later.. etc.
I see that you didn't. Me personally when a lady I was meeting for a date brought food that she made it was more of an interview or she was trying to see what my tastes were or what I was open to about a quick dating life with her a possible quick marriage.
Not saying that's you and for me that was over 30 years ago. Also its a religious area and females had that hurry get married get out of mom/dads have kids and be a good woman deal.
00 Reply890 opinions shared on Dating topic. That's a lot of effort. If you want lure men with food meat is more effective. Steak, french fries, tomato-bechamel sauce and homemade salad and he will be willing to sell his soul to the devil or you. XD
