Based on all these answers, that doesn't seem to be the case. I never have, but I wanted to see if that was typical. I don't want to "get" a guy to commit. I want him to want it.
That's how all my relationships have started. The girl always said something like, “so are you seeing anyone?” The answer to that question would then lead to the relationship. Women will indirectly say they want a relationship, then they will let the man do the heavy and direct questions. It's just like courtship.

Well both should want it...but guys are typically the ones who don't want it, or want to wait longer. So it's probably safer to let the guy.
