Why Should My Life Be Determined by Some Stupid Tests?

So I have exactly 16 days before I start writing and for the past month and a half I've been in study mode, barely sleeping ,not going out, I even gave up my phone so I had no distractions... So yesterday I went and wrote some practice tests and I got my results this morning.. Everything is in the high 60's and I got so annoyed! I realise many people have different levels and different ways of measuring success but this is so frustrating to me... I studied hard and practiced so much .

I know what I know, I know I'd make an amazing person in the work field and a valuable asset so why the effing hell do stupid tests that only see how much info you can pack in your head before you explode even matter?!

I despise most tests because they're only there to test your short-term memory. I agree with your post.

One depressing thing I've learned is that sacrifice is temporary. Your final grades can't be changed once you graduate.

Tests are conducted to examine two aspects of human tendency― attitude and aptitude. Personality tests examine the former while academic, standardized tests examine the latter.

Bear in mind that test scores do not define you, but rather does underlie how prepared you used to be when you had the opportunity to study ahead of the test taking day itself. Test scores might also gauge interest in attaining a passing mark rather than interest in studying a subject for what it is.

If someone negatively judges you based on your test score (judges you based on your past), then they are clearly mistaken. Don't listen to his/her judgment because you can certainly improve in the future.

Because it tells them that you know what you need to know to be successful. If you can't prove you'll be successful, you probably actually wouldn't be, as sorry as I am to tell you that. Tests are MOSTLY to test basic required knowledge on a certain subject, and if you're failing that means you don't have the knowledge required on that subject, and that's ok! Just study what you need to very very very hard! You will get it eventually.

It proves that intelligence is inherited and it can't be earned by hard work although it can be compensated by hard work but you can't increase it and I think you make mistake in selecting the subject cuz every one is not created for everything.

The world is crazy. But those stupid tests only determine your life if you let them. Instead you can figure out how to start a successful business and work for yourself.
