Teachers are quitting their jobs?

That's what happens when it turns into a political corporate mess. It's like they are constantly trying to hit these numbers. I haven't looked into it so I
Don't know but having been in sales my whole life I get a sense that they are under similar pressure. Like attendance goals test score percentages. I'm also not saying that I don't agree with setting goals like that but they have to be realistic attainable goals. I don't think they do but if they are compensated or paid according to these goals set by someone that loses sight of the human aspect and based these goals solely on numbers it opens the doors to some trying to game the system and it could become less about the individuals and more about navigating the system. Again Im not pretending to know what kind of system they are under but I see similarities and things that seem different from the way they were when my 23 yo was in grade school compared to my 8 yo.
Teachers' unions are extremely politicized and have led the change to making public schools become indoctrination centers. Some of them are extremists, selfish, and quite arrogant.
And some of them are wonderfully dedicated people.
Tell me you have no idea how unions work without telling me
Teachers in unions are more likely to be able to actually fight for their rights as workers? My mom now gets paid back shit because unions are banned in our area. They are underpaid and overworked, how about you try and be a teacher if you think it’s that easy?
@caitycat21 my only response to triggered users is to inform them that I don’t otherwise respond to triggered users. If you want to interpret that as a sign that you are right and I am wrong, I don’t care.
That’s an interesting way to phrase “I have no arguments” lol
@caitycat21 So absolutely predictable! You have been indoctrinated well.
Says the person that thinks they have a valid critique for unions despite the fact that you’ve definitely never joined one yourself
That’s the definition of brainwashed. Who tf do you think unions help? Workers? Unless your Jeff Bezos rich there’s no reason why you should hate on unions.
@caitycat21 " despite the fact that you’ve definitely never joined one yourself" This is known as talking out of your ass. That statement is absolutely false!
@caitycat21 The president of the American Federation Of Teachers has stooped to a new low in seeking to advance the political agenda she has for public education. Is this the noble cause you claim it is?

A lot of white teachers probably don't want to deal with all the blacks and how violent and dangerous a lot of them are and I say this as a very blonde bright blue eyed white girl that's married to and has kids with a very dark black man. Also depending on where you are a lot of them probably don't want to be forced to wear a mask have a swab shoved up their nose or forced to get vaccinated and I can't blame them.
I can't blame them. I've always had a lot of respect for teachers - they do great work.
I think teachers should be among the best paid of careers. Why not? Teaching the next generation is a huge task that deserves proper compensation.

I think it's very unfortunate, but also, with the direction our culture is going, inevitable.
I think its a valid response. Teachers don't get paid enough
Until change happens that helps with the oppressive workload and aid from management when kids or parents creat problems it won't stop
Everyone in academia is largely down-payed from school to university. It's the generation of engineering, fashion, internet influencers, adult or general movie stars.
