It'll be interesting to see. I think it depends on not just the gas prices alone, but when everything else it affects goes up enough that people can't afford to do anything, even eating (food also goes up). They say another depression is a very real possibility. Personally I think we are in the start of it. It won't be long I think if things continue to rise at the rate they're going (and all signs point to it continuing).
I would have given you MHO but I selected them already and yes we are going to have the greatest depression ever
Anything above 6.
All affordable cars that are family size are overly priced at dealers now.
Pretty soon people are gonna be trading in their scat packs for these garbage cans on wheels
When I was in Europe ten years ago gas was the equivalent of $8 a gallon, and the economy seemed fine. And people still did 250 KPH on the autobahn.
That is Europe , the males there have been neutered.
In my opinion no matter the price people will still keep buying gas & driving.
I think you are wrong. Add in record gas , electricity, rent (average is $2000 a month here), Higher mortgage payments, groceries , and everything else. There is a breaking point or amount that stops commerce.
One oil rig explosion away. Or one Russian missile that lands in a NATO country. Or another virus, or major earthquake.
Canada is different. Americans are spoiled brats . Groceries cost you what $? To see a movie what $? Electric bill? Gas bill? Water? Waste water?
well you work 8 days a week 25 hours a day
it would cost some people more in gas to get to work than they make at work. Why work?
At least $10 a gallon
Probably $20 and certainly $40
Gas at $20 , means milk is $8 a gallon,, bread is $7 a loaf.
7.50 probably
