Why am I being forced to do something that I don't like doing, even though I told her I don't want to?

Okay so there is this guy I like and he helps me out finding a job, so he sends out my CV to big companies he has connections at. And he has a friend who works at a recruitment office. He told her to take good care of me in terms of finding a good job at a good place. But she keeps sending me to places faaaar far away from the city and the job was not really right fit. The guy I like told her not to find jobs so far away from the centre as I wouldn't function well after such a long drive back and forth. And just today, she found another one IN THE SAME TOWN FAAAAAAR FAAAR AWAY!!! I told her this company is in the same town just like the previous one she found and it is impossible for me to drive that long. Her answer was "maybe it is your destiny, you should go there and it is not far, it is in the city centre"... and she was lying to me as I did call them and they told me it was where I knew it was at!

So tell me, should I tell the guy all this? I am kinda scared as they are friends and I dont want to ruin anything. But I know he does care about me too. Can you tell me what to do?

I forgot to say... even though I told her I wouldn't go that far as it is so far from me, she didn't care and she sent it out to that company and they gave me a call. I was so mad!

I think this is an example of exactly how much pull he has, which is not very much. He’s not her boss, she’s just a friend, a connection, and she is doing him a favor by doing what she can for you. I don't know if you’re looking for a job in a certain industry, but maybe there isn’t much available in that area and unless you were paying her directly or it benefitted her in some way, she won’t prioritize you by trying to tailor-fit a job that works best for you, and you can’t be so offended and mad about that. Going back to him yet again to whine about how this woman does her job just seems sort of rude, and as I said, he can only do what he can, just like her. He can’t command her to prioritize finding you what you want, and you shouldn’t ask that of him. So if the jobs she’s finding isn’t satisfactory, rather than get mad, maybe say thanks for taking time to specifically find you a job out of all the other cases I’m sure she has to deal with. I’m not sure why you can’t look for a job as well, but maybe that is the better option here.

It's called doing your job. Do you really expect to have a job where you only have to do the things you want to do? She's your boss. She makes the assignments. If you don't like the assignments you're paid to do, or if the pay isn't worth it, then find another job or just outright quit
