What's your studiyng strategy?

I try and tie in history with whatever I'm learning. I'm an absolute nut for learning about the history behind any subject really so I try and incorporate that in my learning. If I'm studying architectural concepts, I try and learn when they were first used, by whom, and why. I think it helps add more memorable emphasis to the subject and make it easier for memory recall.
... I may have a subscription to several history related streaming services lol.
Do most of my reading and homework in the hours before bedtime because supposedly when our brains process the information and experiences from the day, it’s done in reverse chronological order. Gotta have a light dinner too, or i’ll get sleepy if i’m reading.
Otherwise, i choose a well lit, quiet place with the fewest possible distractions. Turn off my phone, or put it on silent.
I only study hard during exams other than that, I just check my notes 📝 or read the book the night before. I can study in loud or quiet environment. In college, my apartment was above a bar. The floors were vibrating from loud music but idc I still studied and did great 😂 . I don’t memorize. I try to understand what I’m studying for me to remember. I have good memory. Except maths 😂 no!
Past exam papers, work brilliant. Especially in the UK because we have set exam boards, and we can view the last years grade boundaries so we can study as closely as possible to the content that'll be on the exam.

I'm a big fan of learning by doing, so I like to find distilled, barebones versions of the information and then apply the knowledge to questions and hypotheticals. I also like to take time to analyze bits and pieces of questions I'm working on to make sure I separately understand each of the component parts.
1. First complete your course syllabus via video lectures or live classes ( simultaneously do revision after class or solve the sums based on concepts taught in class )
2. After your course is completed do a cumulative revision of whatever you've studied
3. Now write mock exams ( for whatever exams you're preparing ) mock exams will help you analyze your strength and weaknesses in that exam where you're lacking. Indentify that gap and fix it via practice and revision coz practice makes progress. Just be consistent.
I learn best when I write everything down, a few times and just constantly repeating myself
Also taking enough breaks and I find it very helpful to have a to do list of the topics I have to learn and that way having an overview
I read from sources other than the provided material first then read what was given to me. It offers two perspectives and where one didn't go into detail, the other might.
When you understand something, you can remember it better.
Making pictures to represent hard stuff to learn. Currently learning medical conditions of the GI tract and the medications to treat them. Hard stuff. But pictures really help
Get a paid job that sponsor the study time. I am past the time when I need to sacrifice my free time too study. I learn thing at work.
I did this too. Got me into med school
In med school, there are tons of strategies but everyone works differently. The best advice is to understand the concepts. Don’t memorize until you understand what you are studying.
Read it once, if applicable create an example application. Move on.
I have been thinking about teaching to others what I've just learned to recover costs and reinforce my learning.
to kick ass and chew bubblegum, until im all out of gum, lol no i only kid
What do you study? If I might ask
If you get given a list of what you will learn in each lecture before hand, study whatever topic before the lecture, got to the lecture and then study the topic after the lecture. Create a time table that allows you to do that for every topic while having time to do your assignment and coursework.
Don't forget to give yourself your relaxing time. That is very important. Remember " hard work without llay makes John a dull boy". So when you create your ti. e table bare this in mind.
I also find that studying very early in the morning just when I wake up, helps. Your brain is still fresh and us at its highest functioning capacity at that time.
I look for something get me to remember it.
Constant repeated exposure
