What famous job would you rather have?

If you were to achieve fame in life, which area would it be in?

Would you rather be: An actor, a musician, an author, a socialite, a model, a CEO, a sportsperson, a politician, an entrepreneur, or something else?

It’s not on the list, but… Magician. I’m a professional magician already, but the work doesn’t happen enough for the work I do - and since very few people have heard of me (or seen my work) it’s constantly a fight over pay and respect.

I think the fame would make things some things easier. Better pay. Higher demand. Less questioning and nickel and diming me over everything. Do a show I would want, and not have to worry about every dime of production cost myself. Enough for savings, good health insurance, and maybe a nice nest egg.

I'm torn between CEO and author. I'd love the seclusion and reset and travel required for writing the novels, followed by the intensity of book tours and speaking. But I'd also love running a global corporation and the various things that come with that job.

Honestly, I'm not too inclined to be a famous person in the media, because you generally don't get to have a personal life. People want to know about the lives of musicians, sports stars and actors. On the other hand, almost nobody cares about CEOs, outside of the stock market and the company's customers. People care about how much money they make the companies they helm or what kind of ethics they engage in, such as how they treat their workers. Unless a CEO is known for egregious violations of ethics or is generally an unlikeable person, they are notable because their decisions affect peoples' incomes, but in the current cultural narrative of social media influencers and viral trends, they are usually irrelevant.

Do you even know who the executive chairperson of your favorite brands are? Didn't think so.

I have a fantasy of being an unknown, unnamed musician who takes the stage, opening for another act in front of a huge audience.

I blow them away with my performance, absorbing all the good vibes they send back to me.

I leave the stage to return to my real life, but knowing that I can repeat the fantasy whenever I wish.

Ugh musician and writing are different options! I would choose author then. I like music more but I see more scope in writing. My initial dreams are music and writing. Parents are supportive for writing currently. After I become famous and earn money out of it I can work on music.

I have no inclination whatsoever to be a famous public figure, so actor, sportsman, and musician are automatically out, and being a politician hiding in obscurity inherently implies ineffectiveness. Models are useless, so that leaves entrepreneur and CEO. I'd be fine with either of those.

I'm a model, but I also would want to be an author. I don't want to be famous though. Just have my works published. I personally think fame is overrated because all your business is out there and you're in danger of becoming a bit narcissistic/detached from reality.
