Is my managers no response a sign?

Hey soo basically I am employed by JD the thing is on my induction day I was never given a contract to sign on paper and was never sent one by email either we just discussed that I am a Christmas temp working on 16 hour contract… I do have my managers number and I phoned her this morning to say that I have decided to leave the company due to Pressure, stress and the busy time which concern me…

I have mental health and anxiety and I can’t focus on more than one task at a time realistically JD required being observant and can end up with police being involved if things got really bad… so I decided to leave and go back to my old job. Thing is I have messaged my manager about this situation and I still got no response from her I do not know if she has seen it.. I’m pretty sure she must have as when I messaged her yesterday she responded… so I didn’t turn up to my shift which was at 9 and I still got no call asking me why I did not come in or a reply I’m starting to wonder if I am being ignored….

I want to give her a day or 2 just to reply back to me if not I am going to March over to the store and sort it but I think she has seen it and has acted on it….

It has all been dealt with now I have moved on and not being funny but the place is JD sports it’s kinda common for them to just ignore us I spoke to their head office and again was told to speak to a manager which I did and she’s seen the text and removed me off all my shifts I take that as a hint that I’m off the system.. like I said I never had a contract to sign with the company nor was I sent anything by email that’s how I managed to leave.. my sister works for HR she's helped me out

The correct procedure would be to call the store and speak to the supervisor on shift, and explain why you won't be in. You should then go to your next shift with a letter which states your intention to leave, with a weeks notice on it. You should then work that weeks notice, and then you're good to go.

To be honest you only do that if you have been contracted meaning like when you physically signed a contract I was never given a contract to sign through email or paper so I can just let them know and message them I don’t even have to leave with notice period…. That’s what I did today I messaged my manager she clearly seen it and she took me off all my shifts…

It’s fine to be honest If she don’t wanna talk to me that’s fine some managers don’t they are not required to speak to me as I said when I got the job at the time I was not given a contract to sign on paper nor was I sent it on email so i sent her a message and she’s removed me from all the shifts in my eyes that’s a sign I got token off the system

Firstly that is the biggest shit there to call us clowning… I messaged my employer 2 and a half hours before my shift…. And I explained why I didn’t come in today I even told her I want to leave my job and quit… it’s not our fault that our employers don’t call us.. if we called or left a message for them and they don’t respond than it’s them at fault here… not us.

Yeah that's strange, a manager should be responding back ASAP, dont wait 2 days, call her and send message, if she dont respond again then yeah she's ignoring you.

she's responded to it by actioning meaning she’s removed me from all my shifts which I take as she’s removed me from the system….
