‘Can I call back to you after some time?’ -Is the sentence correct?

So I am an Asian Lady and not good in English. Yesterday I call came in my corporate number from an expat and I had to answer the call while I was in a elevator. His voice was not clear and this is why I told him that can I call back to you after some time?

The elevator was full and people were staring at me while was talking. Is it a wrong sentence? I am feeling very ashamed.

If you are in a Western country, don't worry too much about anything. Like, let's say you kill someone. Don't worry about it. Just hide their body and move on. Don't second-guess yourself in Western countries. You will only destroy yourself if you do.

And there is a sense of freedom if you embrace this mindset and start to blame everyone else for everything that goes wrong. You do not every do anything wrong. Everything that you do is perfect. It is only everyone else that is wrong. This is the Western way.

Don't worry. I'm not a native speaker either, and I made a lot of errors when I first started learning English at school. You will get the hang of it. Practice every day and you will get better. As the old adage goes "failure is the stepping stone to success".

It's understandable but it's not a natural way to say it. It's a bit long-winded and suggests you've no intention of calling back.

I'd shorten it to "can I call back later."
