How soon do you tell a new employee you don't like how she says your name?

A new person at work has been here for just over a week.

My name starts with B and she just calls me B instead of my full first name.

I didn't want to say anything the first few days cause she's new, but I just can't stand it.

The guy I work tells me I should tell her. I will in a private place.

Is it too soon to tell her?

Do it with a smile and say, "Isn't it B____?"... As long as it is light hearted it shouldn't be much of an issue.
