What in your mind makes something a ‘real’ job to you?

Like whenever someone says to get a ‘real’ job i often wonder what they mean. What do you think?

A ‘real’ job is anything you get paid money for some labor. Its that simple really

A real job is one you work full time pays a living wage with full benefits

Any job requiring intense physical labor is a ‘real’ job to me. Anything less than that doesn’t cut it in my opinion.

Any job that isn’t illegal (like prostitution in some countries for instance) to me is a ‘real’ job

‘Real’ jobs to me are any one of the major professions you are salaried for and typically requires some amount of college education and/or certifications for (police, doctors, teachers, etc)

A ‘real’ job is entirely subjective and no one opinion of what that entails can objectively define it

I have a different opinion about what a ‘real’ job is (state your opinion)

A real job for me is something that is stable allows you to take a vacation you have sick days personal days benefits a retirement plan you can support a family afford your own place and utilities plus a car and a phone you can afford insurance for you and your family members.

If the job can't do this then it's a side job and another job is needed.

Reminds me of a video of a white woman yelling at these folks "GEH A JOOOB! EXCUSE ME, I HAVE TO GO TO WORK!" as she walks aback in her house... so get a job to me is you just... mad because you want another person to suffer. That's what comes in my memory files

A real job for me is living with physical and mental illnesses

To me is any job that isn't illegal, where you have a contract, benefits and of course a salary.

A “real” job to me is something you get paid for doing. Anything can be a job if you’re doing or saying something in return for income.
