I earned an A in every class during my university years and graduated with a 4.17 GPA. However, when I entered the professional world, I was surprised that my transcript wasn't a significant point of discussion or seemingly highly valued. The countless hours I invested in studying, often at the expense of other life experiences, and the many sleepless nights, seemed for naught. In hindsight, I feel I mastered the art of test-taking rather than truly internalizing a broad range of knowledge. I sometimes wonder if achieving a 3.0 GPA would have led to the same career outcomes without sacrificing so much of my personal time.
Yes
I put so much time into it even though I went there just cause my parents wanted me to...
I actually just studied all day and got literally 10 GPA on first 4 semesters
But on 5th semester I fell really ill and my GPA that semester dropped to 7
I tried to make a comeback in 6th semster, but teachers robbed me of marks cause of my bad handwriting and looted me for re-evaluation money
This made me not wanna waste time studying anymore and I concentrated on going to military like I always dreamt
Now , all the electrical engineering stuff have nothing to do with my life or job.. I feel like I should never have went to the university!
( Was nice hearing your story too)

it's a scam designed to reap money out of unsuspecting students
unless it's a STEM degree or law degree, other degrees are practically useless
All the time. But honestly if I were to go back, I'd do a degree in Computer Sciences and simultaneously do professional certificate courses in Automation and Process Analysis.
Uni was useless for actual practical knowledge - except most of my elective courses were quite useful (negotiation, mediation, language classes, etc). But learning how to learn, how to manage multiple deadlines, and how to communicate helped me a lot.
The social part of uni was also great, but I'd go harder on it if I were to go back. I'd probably get a fake ID and go partying more, and I'd definitely be staying on campus or in a rented house instead of living with my parents.
Honestly, I made good grades in college but I also partied and took advantage of the social life at my university. I graduated with a degree in psychology but I don't even use that degree for a living. I am happy for the experiences I had and the friends I made though.

The way I see this is that school is about learning and not purely about grades. Grades help if you want to get into grad school or sound impressive so that your employer gives you an initial job interview, but while earning those grades, you have to focus on skill enhancement too.
I busted my fucking ass through college and I do regret it. I wish I had gone to some easy-ass state school, fucked and sucked a lot more, had less debt, than moved on.
