If you were to major in either Music OR Engineering in college.. which one would you choose?
Not enough info. Which one do you like? How good do you think you would be at each one? How important is money to you?
Financially, engineering is the much better choice. It's also much easier to get a job. If you don't care about making a lot of money, then the other criteria carry more weight.
Why not major in both? Since they are very different, it will take longer to get the degrees, but so what?
Engineering is the obvious best choice financially. But I would never tell someone not to chase their dream - as long as they know that they are getting into. So if music is your dream, go for it, but with your eyes open.

Engineering is hard and is not for everyone but you will be employable when you graduate. If you have no musical talent, majoring in music will not be easy and even if you are talented you will probably end up working at Starbucks.
Engineering. Far more job opportunities that pay well with that degree
The one that is not going to be an enormous waste of time and money.

I studied music in school, and it was the best thing I ever did for myself. I am just happy I was at a school that had music as an option.
I wish I was more of the musical type but my head has always been more STEM oriented. But you know what maybe I should just branch out. Study every instrument and see which one i like the most.
music is for dumbasses who want to get a second useful degree afterwards so they can finally get a job
