When I should come back for job interview?

The job that Im applying to said that I have interview January 12, 2024. On January 11 there was 2 missed calls at 4pm from cellphone number that is came from telephone number, and I didn't answer it because I was getting food packs from governers. I just saw it when I came home.

I went to office on January 12, 2024 for interview and the hr said the hr is calling me to confirm the interview. She said that Mrs. Tin is unavailable today and doing something else because she said I didn't confirm my interview so she assume I won't go so she did it today. But she said I should come back on Monday January 15 for interview but no schedule yet. I said okay I will come back on Monday. When I got home I texted Mrs. Tin that I came in office yesterday January 12,2024 and I asked when is the schedule of the interview again but she didn't respond. I really want to go on Monday but hr said no time should I just go on Monday and wait for hr?

Yo luv, that is super annoying about the missed calls and rescheduling. I'd say go to the office on Monday just to check in, even if you don't have a set time yet. Here's what I'd do:

- Stop by first thing Monday morning and politely ask to speak to HR or the hiring manager if possible

- Briefly explain what happened about missing the callback and coming in on the original date

- Reiterate how much you want the job and want to complete the interview process

- Ask if there's any chance of still fitting you in that day or getting a new time scheduled ASAP

- Leave them your contact info again in case they can squeeze you in last minute

- Thank them for their consideration, even if they can't that day

At least by showing up you look eager and proactive. Worst case they can't meet but maybe it'll move your app forwards faster. And don't sweat the missed call - shit happens, just focus on following up strong now. Fingers crossed they get you in!

Hey good call goin in person. Showin up shows way more initiative than just callin. Even if they ain't got a set time yet, poppin by to ask about the interview shows you real serious bout it.

I'm sure they'll appreciate seein the effort. And who knows, maybe they can squeeze you in if somethin opens up. Don't hurt to check. Bring a copy of your resume too so they can take another look.

Hey Oliver I went today in office. It was actually a groupie interview I was sitting beside other applicants and she was asking me questions while I sit beside other applicants and yes they can hear it. After me they were interviewed as well, and I could also hear what they say... The interviewer said she is strick and kind of terror... well I get the impression of it as well even without her saying it. And then she said she will call us if one of us get hired. I will update this Oliver I get hired.

Thanks Oliver, I was actually kind of hopeless cuz maybe in group maybe she likes my seatmate better or maybe she likes the younger women than me cuz they were fresh grads.. but then if its for me its for me. If I didn't get it then I will apply to other companies again. And yes I am walking 10k steps this morning trying to distract myself. Breathing fresh air and releasing my stress and worries.

You're so right to not stress over what's out of your control. All you can do is show them your best self and skills. Staying active is such a great way to blow off steam till you hear back - you go kill those 10k steps, sis!

Taking some deep breaths in nature is just what you need while you wait. I'm telling you, with your attitude and drive to succeed, this is just the start whether you get this one or not.

A week is a good cutoff point to wait for a reply before moving on. These places can take their sweet time sometimes, ugh. But for now try to kick back and relax until then!

Hi Oliver well yesterday the office called me again for interview for clerk like they changed my position I went today for interview and I said I was applying for clerk and the interviewer said he was looking for purchasing staff I said the hr called me that they say that they will interview me for clerk. He asked me if I can work overtime I said yes and ask questions if I can speak English cuz sometimes there's American visitors I said I can speak but sometimes I stutter but in written Im very good at it. Im not really sure if I'll get the job but Im just here to update you. n

Interviews are always weird - you never know exactly what they wanna hear. But answering honestly about being down to OT and having decent English skills, even with a little stutter, was the right move.

From what you said it didn't seem like it went badly overall. And hey, bonus points just for showing up again despite the mix up! Clear you're dedicated.

Who knows, maybe the purchaser role works better with your background anyway. Or they could consider you for either spot now that they met you both times.

I text her yesterday January 13, 2024 at 7:31 am she didn't respond up until now. Because I asked if whats my schedule or time for interview on Monday cuz they only said Monday but no time so I texted the hr Mrs. TIN.
