How did your school look in your days?

I am from Iraq, our schools didn't have windows nor doors, 40+ kids a class, barley any drinking water. There was schools for boys only and schools for girls only. The boys schools never got the budget to be renewed or renovated at all while the girls schools got a little bit more. I went to schools in the late 80's and 90's and they did not look good at all.

From the age of 6 to 12 is primary school (a lot of schools were mixed girls and boys in my time) Then when you go to high school (Age 12 to 18) the boys and girls separates until university/college.

I believe you're of fellow Swedish residence right, I think I recall speaking with you. Visually Swedish schools haven't really changed. A lot of open spaces on the school grounds, often very good at incorporating nature like woods and rivers. Plenty of windows and sunlight most often, and of course in our society boys and girls do not separate. You attend pre-school from around 3 years old until 8, then it's 1-9 grade before high school which we call "Gymnasium", a three year period where you are inducted into one of the programs ranging from music to social sciences to industry etc. But I attended a Christian private school so I don't know too much about public ones. I suppose with immigration classes in public schools are somewhat bigger. Content wise, there's been a massive degradation in discipline and quality.

My school had so many windows that kids and teachers used to hang out of em for fun in the middle of class. It wouldve been easy for gunmen to access a classroom sadly. And every class only had one door and one closet that clearly couldnt hide very many people. Teachers were forced to lock doors just in case of an emergency. All we ever really had was practice fire drills and serious tornado ones. There were lockers throughout the halls but no one was ever forced to use them. The hallways were often open to the outside so stepping out of class was like stepping onto a front porch. All my schools were one story but back in my moms day, the schools were multistory
