Why nursing school is so hard?

I'm having a hard time with one of my majors. I feel like giving up. Any tips or suggestions to keep me motivated and to survive here in nursing school.

Most majors that are in demand are difficult. Being a nurse is a big deal. You literally are trusted with people's lives. There is a lot of material to learn. If you are struggling in a course see the professor during office hours with your concerns. It is not easy but it is a good career. Don;t give up. Part of college is solving problems and seeing something through to the end.

I struggled with college the whole time. I majored in Computer Science. It was hard and there were times that I did not think I would make it. I hired a tutor to help me get through a course I was afraid I would not pass. I felt that a professor screwed me over and instead of just taking it I complained to the dean. I refused to take it lying down and the dean got the professor to honor the deal we had.

"Why nursing school is so hard"? My brother is a nurse, it took a long time to get a nursing certificate. You want to start an IV on me? You had better be good at it, and that is one thing that takes training and skill, and that is only a very small part of being a nurse.

Nurse here! Yeah, it sucks... no better way to put it.

A lot of nursing school material is to prepare you for the NCLEX... not actually nursing. Stick through it an really pay attention and enjoy your clinicals!

That's where the fun and real learning is!

Start is not actually nursing a lot of bs. It can be boring and tough but worth it in the end. Always go home feeling good after helping people. Can go home worried about people also just which good you care
