Does success only include going to college, obtaining a degree, moving into a nice home in a nice area and creating a perfect family/life?

Mate, spawn, die. That's all that's needed for success. Everything else is icing on the cake. Skip the degree, they aren't worth the price anymore. I make $20k more per year then my lawyer friend and I barely passed Highschool

I am an accountant/credit analyst/ Financial analyst. I barely made it out of High school. Worked in a couple shitty factories for a few years. Got tired of getting hurt at work, flipped a machine and quit. Said I was gonna get an office job. Got a job as a Janitor at an accounting firm. Was cleaning when one of the bock keepers asked me if I knew Excell. I said I used it in school a little bit. Looked at her spread sheet and it was fucked. I fixed it for her. The end of the day Friday the boss asked me to come in in the morning Saturday je wanted to talk to me. I went in Saturday morning and he said he saw me Help Sandy. He asked if I could do all that. I said yes. He asked if i wanted the job I said yes. He fired Sandybon Monday and I was now a book keeper. For the next five years I worked 50 tob60 hours a week under paid as a book keeper until I was better than everyone at that office. When I lef t them I moved up. Me knowing the job without school helped me in the interview. Worked more under paid gaining skills for another 5 years. Wash rinse repeat a few times. I make $80k and my friend that is an assistant district attorney that faught in Afganistan and Iraq for college grants to get a law degree makes 60k. He puts very bad people away and all I do is analyze numbers and data.

So do you believe someone with all those things I named but are missing what you just named, is their success shallow? Or if someone has no degree, a nice home, the perfect family but they have a peace of mind, are they still successful?

I personally don’t think success means you have it ALL. People have “Everything” in the eyes of others and even in their own eyes but when they lay down at night they still feel as though something is missing. Even though on paper, on the surface, success is their middle name.

Too much anxiety in your Q tbh. That whole success ladder is an anachronism and often fails to live up to nostalgia or movies. Success is best self defined and reevaluated all life long.

No, lots of people can be happy with a relatively ordinary life. Rich people can be miserable and I think a lot of them are.
