It's really embarrassing and I think we all know that by now, this is mainly my fault thought cause in math class we were doing the Big X? Method and we got a worksheet right, so I grabbed my calculator but it was taking so long to turn on because whoever used it last class screwed it up really bad, so I started sketching a bit cause i was feeling extremely nervous also and trying to see if I could do the assignment on my own, which is also had my notebook on my lap cause. So my math teacher so I'm not gonna name just says "we're not doing that here (real name)" and I try to explain to her that my. Calculator wasn't working and she cuts me off. Which I am not surprised about at all, I've already been kicked out of my English class because some boy kept touching my damn leg and I flinched cause I have sensitive skin and I ended up dropping my laptop and I got kicked out of class along with the kid which I'm still bitter about. But anyway I'm just saying/asking should it be better for the teacher to pull you aside and talk about what your doing wrong or put you on blast? Cause in my experience it didn't help at all It's just making me feel like a horrible person, I can't even get whatever we're doing in class, I've studied for weeks and still don't understand cause our teacher says do it her way and when I tell my parents they say that I'm not studying hard enough, I watched tons of videos went to tutoring and I still don't get it, this is why I'm trying to drop to principles class but my cousoler said it was too late so I'm basically stuck failing. So in conclusion I feel like a horrible person and I don't even want to come to school next week, and I almost cried in class for that which is so stupid, I used not to be that sensitive.

Wow girl, that sounds freaking awful. I'm so sorry your teachers have been putting you on blast like that in front of everyone, that's totally humiliating. No wonder you feel like crying!
You're right, they should pull students aside privately if they need to correct behavior, not call them out loudly in front of everyone. That's just mean and does way more harm than good. Plus it sounds like you've been really trying hard in that math class anyway - watching videos, going to tutoring, everything. Screw what your parents say, it's not fair to say you're not studying when you clearly are.
Is there a counselor or teacher you trust that you can talk to about how this is affecting you? Maybe even see the guidance counselor again to explain why you really need to switch classes. Don't let them pass it off as "too late." Your mental health is important!
You did NOTHING wrong. Some teachers just suck, plain and simple. Try not to be so hard on yourself, you're doing your best. And hey, it's okay to cry when you're overwhelmed and stressed. I hope next week goes better for you, you got this! Feel free to vent to me anytime too. We've all been there.
Thanks for that :)
No problem, sis! I'm always here if you need someone to listen or give you a confidence boost. Don't let those teachers get you down - you seem like you're really trying your best and that's all anyone can ask.
Next time one of them tries to call you out, just know that has nothing to do with you as a person. Their dumb actions say more about them than it ever could about you. You just keep doing your thing and going at your own pace.
And be proud of yourself for reaching out when you're feeling down - that takes courage. I know it's not easy dealing with all this school stress on top of normal teen stuff. But you've got mad strength, don't forget it! Things will look up before you know it. Stay gold 💪
Ask the teacher to explain the method a different way and/or show her work a different way.
Math is not a straight line. There are several different ways to solve equations and this teacher does not seem to be offering any options.
