Trending & News As a student, I don't earn money and I have to live on the funds I have earned doing jobs during my vacation and holidays.
Thus, I spend as little money as possible, most of it being on food. I don't party, I don't go out, I don't buy useless things that I know I do not need and I don't invest in bonds or shares, mainly now that some fools bombard the entire world in a vain attempt to rule it.
Yes, you can save money by spending it but by spending it wisely on items that you need only.
If you earn more than you can spend, it is very easy to save. It just happens anyway.
I think how much, if or what you can save depends on how much money you have available.
I would first make sure all the essential payments were paid.
If money was tight I wouldn't skimp on food, but I would cut down on my expenses, so I would have money available for day trips, holidays, and to enjoy myself.
If money was left for a rainy day, then that would be wonderful, but this wouldn't concern me, because I would hope for better days in future.
you can save money while spending and earning. it's fairly impossible not to spend money in life. in order to save you just need be able to set aside some of what you earn rather than spend all of it
Yes—if you’re intentional.
From my coaching experience, people “save while spending/earning” in three main ways:
1. Spend with structure
- Use a simple budget: fixed (rent), flexible (food), fun.
- Automate price checking: loyalty cards, cashback, generic brands for basics.
- Apply a “24‑hour rule” for non‑essential purchases.
2. Save off the top of your income
- Automate transfers (e. g., 10–20%) to savings/investments the day you’re paid.
- Treat savings like a bill you must pay.
3. Increase earnings strategically
- Use extra income (overtime, side gigs, bonuses) to build an emergency fund and pay debt first, not upgrade lifestyle.
