Yep I'm finding that that's best for me too.
- 1 mo
Thanks. The earliest i may go out is maybe 11am around when lunch begins
- 1 mo
You're welcome. And yeah I'm finding around that time to be the best time to start up.

Something else i can offer you is you will eventually figure out where the best places to hang out at that will give you lots of orders. That can take a little bit of time but try to take note of places you seem to go to often. Then you can simply try to park near those places if its slow. I know a few good spots myself. You’ll figure it out the more you do it.

Thanks. I'm starting to learn all the spots that are popular hotspots. It is getting easier the more I do it.

For most people I coach, the “best” time is when three things align:
1. Your natural energy peak
2. Your commute and lifestyle (sleep, family, exercise)
3. The norms of your industry
Personally, I like a 8:30–4:30 or 9–5: it lets me work deeply in the morning, meet with people mid‑day, and still have my evenings.
Since you feel great starting later, aim for roles with flexible or standard 9–5 schedules, and advertise “I do my best work in a typical daytime schedule” in interviews.00 Reply

1 moI used to do shift work , in fact for many years and although it was nice to have lie in’s and have days off during the week its was in conflict with the majority of people I was close to in my life.. like I was in a different time zone.
Then I moved to mon-Friday 9-5 and now 8-4 and I’m the happiest I ever was around work : life balance.
They say it’s about consistency rather than time of day.. so shift work was awful.
The only negative now is the traffic but I have the added flexibility since Covid of working from home so do that Monday and Friday !10 Reply436 opinions shared on Education & Career topic. I guess 9:00 am and get off at 5:00.
I really liked the hours at the company I worked for. We worked 9:00-6:00 with a paid hour for lunch from noon to 1:00 and two 15 minutes breaks on Mon-Thurs. On Fridays we worked from 9:00-1:00 with a 15 minute break.15 Reply- 1 mo

@OlderAndWiser. 21st Century Auto Insurance was such a great company. Unfortunate, it got bought out by AIG in 2008 (there is a story behind how that happened), just before AIG almost went bankrupt.
My company had been financially healthy and growing, and had the best reputation of any auto insurance company.
AIG destroyed it and sold it to Farmers. Almost all the employees either quit or were laid off by 2010. I had 30s years in at that point, so I retired with a pension and healthy 401(k) when I was 55. I had planned to stay with 21st Century until I was 62. - 1 mo
I'm 71, healthy, active, and still working about 30 hours per week because I love what I do and I am widely regarded as very competent by other attorneys and by judges. I have too much to give up. And. . . my wife is 62 and won't retire for another 4 years, so why should I retire now? I can take off 2 or 3 weeks whenever I want and we can take a vacation (like cruising to Alaska in August.)
I'll just keep working and pay off our mortgage in the next four years, then we'll have a very comfortable retirement. - 1 mo
@OlderAndWiser. That's really cool!
- 1 mo
It's certainly working out that way!
get up at 5:30 make some coffee and usually the night before I get my tools and things ready for the job that I'm going to be doing so I don't have to do that before I go don't have to rush but I I usually leave about 7:30 8:00 it just depends on where I have to go and there's sometimes I can't get in until 9:00 or 10 it just depends on if the realtor or the management company what they want usually they meet me there give me a key to get in or I just meet them at their office

1 moNooooooooooooooo! 9 to 7 was the first shift I ever worked, and it was the WORST! It was basically just work sleep, work sleep. Zero time for myself. My favorite was honestly 2 to midnight. I still had the entire first half of the day to myself.
10 Reply It depends on what your morning routine looks like. Like, do you like to take time to drink coffee or tea or to workout before you start your workday?
11 Reply- 1 mo
I definitely like to workout in the am before work.
1 moI hate getting up early. Luckily don't have to. Earliest I start it 10am.
11 Reply- 1 mo
Right. I used to love it but now I'm like I need my rest the older I get. Waking up at 6am or 7am just doesn't cut it for me anymore.
m 1 mo9-10am is best, I like it better when my day features several hours nighttime, there's something peaceful about night ambiance that I don't find during the day

1 mo5AM would be ideal for me. I like being up early though not as early as I do now and get out of work early and feel like I have a good chunk of the day left to do things.

10 ReplyAt night, anytime between 10:00 PM and midnight, because you get to go home while everyone else has to go to work.
10 Reply3.5K opinions shared on Education & Career topic. I worked 7AM to 3 PM. I didnot have to get up outrageously early and i left before the traffic got too bad.

1 moYou're most productive in the morning so if you're not at work by 8.00am you're probably wasting time.
10 ReplyWhen I had my own business, my hours were 9:30am to 6:30pm. Hour for lunch.
Now working for a company and close to retirement, my hours are 7:30am to 5:00pm with Friday afternoons off.
