Craft time with Smahala1991: Chalkboards

Hello everyone! Welcome to Craft time.

Today I am going to show you how to make your own chalkboard!

What you will need:

Plywood

Chalkboard spray paint or paint

Sandpaper

Painters tape and news paper. Trust me on this one lol.

Step 1:

Sand the edges of the plywood board so you will be free of splinters

Step 2:

Lay the plywood down on the paper or plastic to avoid getting paint all over

Step 3:

Open the can of spray paint and shake for 2 minutes until you hear the ball inside rattle

Step 4:

Spray a coat over the board.

Step 5: let it dry for 15 minutes

Step 6: apply a second coat

Step 7: allow 3 hours to completely dry and 24 hours before initial use.

You can buy plywood at Lowe's or Home Depot. I recommend a 2 foot by 1 ft board.

The spray paint can also be bought at walmart, lowes or most hardware stores. The same with sandpaper.

Make sure also to do this outside in a well ventilated area.
