It was hard to find 10 but I found 5 solid one's with 5 other very close suggestions. So top five...
1. Dutch - 1991
to me this John Hughes goodness, so funny and it takes place during Thanksgiving, what's not to love. To me, it also has a kind hearted message that makes you remember the true meaning of the holidays.
2. Home for the Holidays - 1995
Holly Hunter is the feature here but it has Robert downy Jr. before Iron Man as his silly self. But it is a honest funny movie that shows what a family Thanksgiving can look like.
3. Garfield Thanksgiving - 1989
Garfield and Thanksgiving, need I say more :)
4. Charlie Brown Thanksgiving - 1973
For those reading what I am writing, I am not numbering these in order per say, to me, they are all equal to each other. That being said, I do connect more strongly with the three at the top even if this is a Thanksgiving staple to me.
5. Friends Thanksgiving - 1994-2003
To me, these are all fun and memorable. Even just rewatching them can put us all into the Thanksgiving spirit.
Honorable Mentions:
6. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles - 1987
This is yet another classic John Hughes movie! I personally did not include this basically because I have not watched it that much myself but I know it is a Thanksgiving staple for sure.
7. The Simpsons- Bart Vs. Thanksgiving - 1990
This is a fun simple episode that shows the importance of sharing and family.
8. New Girl Thanksgiving- 2011
I seemed to remember the Thanksgiving episode of New Girl sticking out to me for some reason... it must have been pretty funny and I might revisit this season too.
9. Big Bang Theory - The Thanksgiving Decoupling - 2013
For me, as I looking though different specials, I am pretty darn sure I saw this one and I am sure I enjoyed it simply because its Big Bang Theory.
10. The middle - Thanksgiving - 2009- 2017
While "Gilmore Girls: Season 3, Episode 9: "A Deep-Fried Korean Thanksgiving" (2002)" stick out to me, the middle I know is a funny and honest show and has a flavor of home for the holiday's. and and ... they have like 9 Thanksgiving episodes! you could binge watch the whole family as they grow up in the series! It is fun show and just making it binge worthy Thanksgiving along with the friends tv series, is pretty cool
Happy Thanksgiving everyone, JJ over and out
