The Matrix 4 seems to have been confirmed, both Keanu Reeves and Carrie Moss are set to reprise their roles. Nothing else is known so far except that they are aiming to begin production next year.

I personally am HYPED, PUMPED AND EXCITED AF that Matrix 4 got announced. I loved the story presented in all 3 stories and always felt that there was so much more to dive into. And with how things were left I'm super amped up to see how they continue.

Depends if the original creators have the same role/power as the original. I believe Hollywood will otherwise, like Disney with Star Wars, try to turn a great work of art, and cultural history, into something where the highest priority is profit.

If the original creators, who undoubtedly hold massive passion for quality, purpose, and substance are at the top, I believe it will be an amazing film. I like the idea of another Matrix, but without the right people behind it, it's not the Matrix, only a film that uses the characters and settings.

I almost think if they reboot the matrix they should do a remake of movie one with a completely new feeling , sorta the way they redo batman every now and again

I think they're going to turn it into something it's not. From something great (like escaping the matrix) to finding out he never left and they he will always be enslaved by something. I hope I'm wrong. But that's bow Hollywood works. They remake movies to basically mold your mind and put subliminal messages in your head.
