Yes a verse from the bible says. There is the difference. The fool believes most anything that he hears, while the prudent man is cautious and skeptical about everything.
Not always and not blindly. Kids should be taught to think critically and when the words or actions of those in authority don't make sense, then they should question authority.

No disagreement here. Thpugh they need to balance that with being respectful of their elders, which is very much something that's been lost on this generation of young people.
No that's not what I mean. I'm taking grandparents, mothers, fathers.. There are so many times I am out with my wife and I see kids being shitty to their parents.
Kids should be taught to think for themselves and not be mindless sheep like the politicians and media would want them to be

Hell yes I have adhd so I've always been like that biologically. Question the law and the authority but be open minded, make decisions for yourself and do what's right. Wish more people were like me. You are young and what I've seen from you doesn't reflect that. You already think you know shit when you don't
Covid vaccine is safe. The only issue is that people in America are treating it like a political issue which is why we’ve handled COVID horribly as compared to other developed nations
Why must the father make the rules? Why him, and not the mother? Why must there be rules to begin with? Will the rules apply to everyone, or just the children? If just the children, why the double-standard?
@Rachelspiks because the man is the head of the house and not the woman, as simple as that! The wife can share her opinions with her husband and might agree on some rules that they share together...
Usually the rules are made for the kids...
There have to be rules in the house so life can go smooth and the house won't turn into a farm...
@doopayo i'm talking about real men and not some dirty scumbags...
A father will take good care of his daughter, feed her , raise her and protect her but when she does something wrong, she's going to be warned and next step she's going to be punished...
Oh right, "real men". Who might they be, exactly? The daughter will be "punished" when she does something that, in the opinion of the so-called father (more like "abusive tyrant") is "wrong". Punished how? Do tell.
Abusive men can still be the “head of the house” my uncles an abusive psycho that verbally abused his wife constantly but always cries about how she's his wife so she’s beneath him.
Do you know how many men will chant like that and are abusive? In the worst case scenarios the woman is so dependent on him she’s forced to stay in that situation
@Rachelspiks yes it's my opinion, says who? Me, my religion and a lot of other religions and it's practiced in a lot of cultures, also why does it bothers you if your father is the head of the house?
Real men won't abuse their daughters period.
Now about the punishment part well it's for her own good to make her walk on the right path again...
Punishments such as not buying her what she likes, do not give her money, i'll take her cell phone for some time cause she won't be allowed to use it and she's not allowed to go and spend time with friends... etc
These are my punishments and they won't be used until she leaves me no choice...
@doopayo such men shouldn't be the head of their house because it's clear how a man should treat his wife and family and not every man can be the head of the house just cause he's a male...
To verbally abuse the wife, you have to see what the wife have done, you can't blame men everytime such things happens, if he's abusing her verbally and physically without a reason than he should never be the head of the house and deserves to be punished...

We need to be aware of what an authority figure knows. I will trust a scientist over a politician on science. I will trust an economist over a scientist on macroeconomics. I will trust a religious leader on theology over anyone else.
Yes. This developes necessary critical thinking and independent thinking skills.

Yeah probably, but a lot of people think that they’re questioning authority when actually they’re thinking in exactly the way those in authority want them to, because they’ve been manipulated.

Amen sister authority is always to be questioned. And often to be resisted

Because just cause you’re old doesn’t mean you’re deserving of respect. Their are many old people that are nice and some that are just flat out bitter

People who have simple health questions on weather the Covid vaccine is safe in their circumstance are being crucified in the media.
In a society where one's own medical choices are demonized, what are they really allowed to question.
Covid vaccine is safe. The only issue is that people in America are treating it like a political issue which is why we’ve handled COVID horribly as compared to other developed nations
The only authority that you must follow is your parent's authority...
The father makes the rules in the house and the family follows these rules...
Nope, wrong.
@Rachelspiks why is it wrong? I see it perfectly fine...
Why must the father make the rules? Why him, and not the mother? Why must there be rules to begin with? Will the rules apply to everyone, or just the children? If just the children, why the double-standard?
What about times parents will abuse the trust their kids have for them? I don’t believe you should just follow your parents authority.
My dad was very emotionally manipulative and abusive and it didn’t take me till recently to even recognize that. Their are lots of kids like that

"The man is the head of the house" - Says WHO? This is just your OPINION.
Will you address doopayo's point about abusive fathers, or will you pretend they don't exist?

AFTER being taught all about how some people use questioning authority as a way to gain power and then they murder anybody who disagrees with them.
It depends on what you mean by "question," but generally speaking, yes. An amount of skepticism is healthy.
No. As the problem is neither authority or questioning. Rather its mostly bad parenting and lack of proper aspirations.
Of course. The next level of open-mindedness is understanding that perhaps the old authority actually is right about a thing or two.
Yes its how movements like the civil rights get started
We need to be aware of what an authority figure knows. I will trust a scientist over a politician on science. I will trust an economist over a scientist on macroeconomics. I will trust a religious leader on theology over anyone else.
Maybe not always, but definitely encourage the questioning where's it's appropriate.
Yes. This developes necessary critical thinking and independent thinking skills.
Yeah probably, but a lot of people think that they’re questioning authority when actually they’re thinking in exactly the way those in authority want them to, because they’ve been manipulated.
In a respectful manner? Generally, yes. If being disrespectful, absolutely not
I feel like disrespect towards authority is justified in cases where the authority is disrespecting you. You have every right to stand up for yourself
You can stand up for yourself without be disrespectful. Or are you just looking for an excuse.
I could care less about your morals, my morals is that if someone is yelling and cursing at you you have every right to curse them right back
The whole be the bigger person bs is just making people pussies
Ironic those who point out we should question authority are the ones who support authority
Who?
The same clowns who think the boot of the state is okay as long as it's not them 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
