I've done several. One was a Harry Potter theme. The players had to make it on time to the train station and avoid Deatheaters. The design wasn't the best I've seen (really amateur) but it was fun anyway. Another one was a Faerie Tale theme with an amazing design that was professional. The premise was that an evil witch took over a forest and the players had to save the animals. One of the rooms that you ended up in had magical mushrooms that lit up and played music. Really enjoyed the puzzles of the Faerie Tale one.
I've also done a lot of online escape rooms with friends. Those can be really fun as well. There's also a really neat escape room simulator on Steam Games.
Omg I have to find a Harry Potter themed one!!!
Online sounds interesting too!
Yeah quite a few, most are pretty good.
top tip, don’t go when slightly drunk and also go to toilet first 😂
5 tipsy guys needing the toilet can get very bitchy lol
I did have a drink before going lol. But I was far from drunk
I've done 3 So far.
first one has been the scariest but also the boringest. (was really scary which I liked but then got boring since I did not understand any of the puzzles we had to figure out)
second one was challenging (but it glitched and we lost)
third one was fun at first and then I was annoyed lol because one person from the group ruined it for me
Ahh well maybe 4th time will be the charm.
I’ve done quite a few and I think it’s fun. A little overpriced though.
Agreed
Was there a theme for the escape room you did?
I’ve done one that was like an archaeology dig in a room that was like an Indiana Jones film. My favorite was a bank heist.
It was a quarantine theme. We had to find the antidote lol.
I’m a dumdum and should have read more carefully. I thought I read it as during quarantine.
Sounds fun!!
That’s what I hate about the iPhone app. When I click to write a comment, I can no longer see the details of a question. I like to respond to specific details. Grrr. It irks me.
Lol ahh yeah that can definitely be frustrating

When I was 29, I got obnoxiously drunk and went home with a 50 year old woman... I woke up at noon the next day and I caught a eye opening sover glimpse... I left my car at the bar, and my phone was in it... I pretended to still be asleep... she finally got up and started vacuuming. I gathered my clothes.. and silently escaped her house... I walked 3 hrs in the August heat to my car and phone... I escaped the room.
I have done four with 50% successrate. I enjoy them but I still think they aren't worth the price.
Yeah they are hells pricey
My life is enough like an escape room, without time enough for everything that I want to do.
Lol I feel ya
I haven't done an escape room but it sounds interesting.
It was!
Nah not my style. Even if it's nothing like the movies or SAW, i just dont care for puzzles and trivia like that. I’d get a bit bored knowing it doesn't have scary results like the movie
Yeah, we almost made it in time but one of us closed the safe before we could get what we needed from it
Aww damn. That was almost my group. We thought we were done when we opened the last lock but there was one more step and we wasted a good minute looking at each other like idiots 😂
I haven’t done it, but I have heard from friends they can be a ton of fun... so yeah if I have the opportunity I'll do it!
I’m way too claustrophobic and anxious for that lol
Same! That's why I said my anxiety was high. But they show you how to get out if there's an emergency.
Well that’s definitely a good thing. I didn’t think there was any emergency exit type thing or what not
One of my best friends is addicted to escape rooms... I probably did around 70.
It's not fun anymore...
We always escape, probably with 20 minutes to spare.
I did it with my management team. It was a tan building event and a lot of fun
I haven't done one and doubt that I ever will. There's a place very near me that I drive by all the time.
No because I get pretty bad anxiety and get panic attacks sometimes, I couldn't do it.
I have not. I'm undecided on whether I would try it. It seems interesting, though.
No, I'd never succeed and have nobody to do it with
Yes, once. It was fun, but pretty expensive.
Yes, when I was tied up and beated till I passed out. I never escape, police had to rescue me
Plan B: engage the intruders and kill them.
If you can find a good one they are super fun
No, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night.
Not yet but I wanna
You totally should!
