Those who have worked in hospitality/ customer service, what’s the worst experience you have had?

I’ve worked in hospitality in a coffee chain for 4 years (now studying in uni) and we’ve had many terrible experiences with drunk drug addicts coming in trying to get into a fight, get freebies and do dr*gs in the bathroom and we have to call the police. Worst one though was probably a lady purposefully spilling a hot drink on me to blame me so she gets a new free drink and a guy threatening me to get me fired as he’s from the ‘head office’ (we found out later that was a lie, because he didn’t like my attitude plus many more..

Sooo many it’s hard to pick one. Usually tourists from America were the worst (but also some of the best) customers - very very entitled! We also had an issue with one mentally I’ll woman who was an alcoholic and did a lot of drugs. She heard voices or saw things I’m assuming, so she would stand at the front door and look outside and speak to nothing for about 10 mins and it put people off coming in. She also would speak to herself while sitting down, wave knives about (just butter knives), smelled really bad, drank alcohol all day, was rude, and would go into the toilet for about half an hour. She stole all of our toilet roll once, and then stole the manager’s mothers purse from her bag. We banned her from then.
