It’s a simple question, name any musical artist/ band/ group you can’t stop listening to lately? I want to hear some of the fantastic advice you wonderful people have in your ears.
For me it’s Wu-Tang clan. I knew of their existence and heard a few songs but I never truly understand their story or listened to them compared to everyone else. I watched the Hulu show and I’ve been going through their entire discography

I love Wu, I came up listening to them, they first came out in like 9th or 10th grade, just a whole new flavor we hadn’t seen before👍👍 Seen them live a ton of times, most recently in 2019, but the first time I saw them was 1997, three days before I left for my first year of college, along with Rage Against The Machine. WHAT A SHOW. In the pouring rain, haha, I’ll never forget the energy that day. 18 years old and about to get my first true taste of freedom, not a care in the world…. that might be where I’d go if I had a time machine, haha. And the WHOLE CREW was there. Every other time I saw them, someone was missing, usually Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and often someone else as well, lately it’s unfortunately been Method Man. But this was a full ensemble cast. Wu-Tang Forever had just dropped that spring, and had been a major part of the soundtrack to my “Summer Of Freedom.” What an experience to get to catch those guys, at that time in my life. Just could never be replicated.
Lately I’ve just been heavy into Griselda and their affiliates or offshoots: Black Sopranos Family, 38 Spesh and the Trust crew, Fred The Godson (RIP), and I’ve also been getting into Dark Lo, who I somehow missed the memo on. I was out of the loop just working like a dog for most of the 2010s, so I missed AR-AB and stuff like that, I more just know the A-list dudes who get mainstream play like Future and Drake and Meek Mill, etc. I enjoy their stuff in its own right, but I grew up on Mobb Deep, I’m looking for that grimy gutter shit, haha.
This beat is chill, is that like…a pan flute or something? Sounds like music sampled from an old karate flick lmao. Reminds me of an old song “50 N——s Deep” by this dude Drunken Master from when I was in college, never was a huge mainstream hit, just kind of a low-key single from an artist I’ve never heard of before or since, haha
But yeah, some good stuff out there I’m a couple years late discovering, I’m so glad I found it, I thought that good ol’ rap i used to know was gone🙏🙏🙏

Been listening to a lot of Nickelback, honestly. Always liked them since growing up, but haven't listened to them in ages. Been daily on Spotify for me.
Fair warning, a lot of people like to hate on them, especially their later stuff. I personally like all they got, but I think their stuff peaked at their album "For All The Right Reasons". To give you a taste from the album that gave them their most well known hit, I will give you three to look at.
