Have anyone of you listened to the song Drive by The Cars? Ever had a this-is-my-life moment listening to the lyrics, if yes what was it?

I am what's called a pharmacy technician, a step below pharmacist.

I used to work for a pharmacy where I was top staff. I did phenomenal for the Grand Opening of the second pharmacy. And I knew early that the manager was a user.

I juggled two pharmacies - mine that I oversaw for the owner working with pharmacists hired last minute (and low budget - aka not very good - unless you think giving patients the wrong dose of medicine is good) in a busy pharmacy/clinic combination & multiple tasks for the second pharmacy where the owner worked which was far slower, etc. and a smarter location to put these other pharmacists in (because they couldn't really handle the tempo where they were) & many responsibilities for both pharmacies. While also doing marketing & FB.

I did this for 5+ months without any help. Without owners hiring a part-time employee, etc. Essentially doing nothing --- despite as said was phenomenal from the start -- to make my job easier so I wasn't overworked and stressed out.

Anyway as you can imagine this didn't go very well. And every time I asked for help, mentioned stress, needed a break, etc. the owners did nothing. And verse 2 in the Drive really stands out for that reason.

Either way let's just say leaving was a brilliant choice because these people didn't care. And because I was doing the dinosaur-sized bulk of work - their staff barely do minimum - I highly doubt they're going to last without me.
