Have you ever had a lucid dream?

Question

A lucid dream is a very vivid dream when you’re aware that you’re dreaming so you are able to control what happens and what you do.
I’ve had them a handful of times, I just had one the other night.

I’ve heard if you bring up the fact that it’s just a dream to someone, they get really defensive and creepy so I wanted to test it out and it’s true!

I went up to this girl and said “hey I’m dreaming right now. What about you? Are you also dreaming?” and she looked shocked and creepily said “you’re not supposed to know that”
it was scary as shit tbh lmaooo. I thought the dream police were gonna come and take me away for breaking the fourth wall, like god damn excuuuuse me for knowing this is fake.

Quite often.

Had one this morning as well.

Some kind of genius maniac had a crush on me. He tried everything to impress me.

In the end I liked him and followed him to the forest where we kissed. I knew it was a dream, otherwise I’d never follow him in the forest, not to mention kiss him haha

Then the dream goes on, my cousins and brother come to the forest and we are going to arctic. Polar bear shows up, trying to hunt on us, we tricked him and survived. Then the arctic turns into the jungles and the gorilla haunts us while a huge rat swallows a man nearby, we go and help him get out of its mouth hahah

Then we travel to savannah, as if past adventures were not enough, a tiny rhino chases us and finally we get out. The road is has huge green trees by its sides and when we look back, it’s so beautiful we are lured to go back, but we refuse the seduction and keep going to find a door leading us out of the zoo, we meet some handsome blond guys, entering the place we left and we go out.

Going out we are suddenly in the village we spent summers at, it’s beautiful, we get on the back of the truck while it rides on the thin and zigzag road, the adrenaline rush is real and I think thanks God, I am dreaming or I’d be dead by now.

We arrive at our villa, looking for old items and take experts to give us prices. The expert told us some of the items at house are dated back to 10th century and we can get really rich if we sell them.

That’s when I woke up.

Always have dreams full of adventures, don’t know why. It’s like every night for me.

Yeah I lucid dream a lot, almost always, It stopped a bit because it got boring and just wanted to start enjoying the surprise, or the ride basically.

But I'm a pretty angry rageful person, had a dark life, and well, when I dream I just immediately know it, and go to crush and destroy everything around me.

I've noticed this too, right when I rest control, and moments before I do it, they all turn and look at me (like for example I was in an olden time tavern one time and the "People" were all talking) but as soon as I took control they all all went silent looked at me in shock in terror, before I started to crush them.

I do think these things are real entites, it's too convieniant, but maybe I could try what you did, I never thought to try and get information out of them before, or rather I have but never thought to say "I know this is a dream" as I thought it was obvious.

But maybe this time, I might be able to get some information out of them, and finally find out what this reality is all about.

With me, it's not so much that I control them but, things happening to me control them. If I'm completely out and my body is telling me I have to pee, I keep going into a bathroom in my dream but, I either get distracted or, for some reason, I just CAN'T pee. It's actually my body trying to stop me from pissing in bed!
One time, in 5th or 6th grade, I had a dream one night where I fell into a deep hole, about 30 or 40 feet deep. I'm on my back at the bottom of the hole calling for help and my grandmother's dog, Fluff, had been walking in this field of grass with me but, she didn't fall in. I'm crying for help, fluff (a half-breed collie) is kind of acting like Lassie, barking for help or barking to me like she's telling me to come back up to her but, she's also prancing around at the top of the hole trying to figure out what to do! However, the more she prances, the more she loosens clumps of dirt from the edge of the hole and they start falling into my mouth and I'm having trouble breathing! I'm calling for help and trying to tell her to stop what she's doing or to go get help! After a few minutes of this, I actually woke up and found that I COULDN'T breathe very well because I'd just started having my third bout of pneumonia!! My being congested showed up in my dream as the dirt getting in my mouth and suffocating me!

Last dream I had two days ago was about traveling to London (not Wyndon, actual London) to challenge a witch to a Pokemon battle for a gym badge and she had an overleveled Murkrow on her team. The Pokemon were animated figures in the real world, like Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The dream ended before I found out if I won or not...

Many times. I even have dreams where I have all five of my senses I can feel touch taste smell etc. In some of my dreams, sometimes the dreams seem so real I can't tell that I'm actually dreaming and other times if I'm dreaming something that is enjoyable when I wake up if I decide to go back to sleep I can go directly back to the dream exactly where I left off. I also have premonition dreams in which I see things that will happen and in reality after I dream them they do happen. I dream of strange inventions that I see once in a dream and later I see them on the market being advertised. I dream of strange civilizations with odd looking people and animals as well. Dreaming Is kinda cool for me sometimes and it can also be pretty scary.

I keep a dream journal and have for years, I lucid dream and have normal dreams.

i also have nightmares that result in me waking up screaming, the worst are nightmares within nightmares.

These are where you wake from one, leave your bed to go to downstairs and then bang! You are in another nightmare and reality gets fucked up.

Also been to a sleep centre in the UK for them to monitor my sleep patterns etc.

you also have normal lucid and also highly sexual ones and just random weird shit lol.

the joys of living with depression and PTSD are biggest influencers on dreams and nightmares.

I've had dreams where I've read things and after the dream I remember what it said also I've felt things to as some people said I can use my 5 senses so if I get hugged i feel it and if I get slapped i feel the pain. i haven't actually ate something though in a dream has anyone?

I don’t really lucid dream, but if I’m having a nightmare, I get to the point where I realise I dreaming and I scream at myself to wake up. This normally takes me into other nightmares (that start out normal so I think I’m awake) a few times until the final time I wake myself up, and I have a sleep paralysis dream.

This normally happens when I don’t take my medicine that helps me sleep, and my theory is that I don’t go into a deep enough sleep naturally. I normally wake up exhausted too.

I'm only capable of this type of dreaming. I don't know the other way of doing it where you're not aware. It sounds way more immersive.

But I only know how to do it the lucid way so I've never had a nightmare, for example. I've had horrific lucid dreams but it's like watching a horror film. It's not scary because you know it's not real.

I had quite a bit of lucid dreams and trained accually to have them more frequent.
Most of my dreams that I remember are nightmares so I just wanted to control them.
I never tried to talk to anyone in my dream about me accually dreaming so I will deffinetely try that. Mostly I'll just try to make my nightmare have a happier ending.

Wow having a lucid dreams that feels like it lasts forever does sound scary.

I had one once, where I was at school but then realized wait! It’s summer break! Why am I at school? Then I realized nothing was right, I was in a dream! I didn’t get full control though, I only somewhat controlled what I said.

I have vivid dreams more than lucid dreams. Once I had both but I couldn't control it but was very much aware it was a dream and not real, but it looked, smelled and tasted like it was real. That was the most terrified I have ever been. It was a nightmare so I was aware the shit wasn't real as the shit in my dream doesn't exist but many did it feel real.

I tried lucid dreaming. I wanted to fly like Superman so I imagined myself flying to a familiar out of state destination. I imagined myself flying above the highway and seeing the world from above. I was only a little successful at this.

Due to movies like Deception and the show spongebob as a kid it taught me i am always in control of my dreams so if i don't like a dream i could change it or force myself up which is why i have never had nnightmares for years now.
