Is it just me or is country music starting to sound country again?

Country has had some rough years. Sure there has always been songs I liked that are new. But sometimes it was fewer and farther in between. Sometimes I liked the beat of a song but it wasn’t country in my opinion.

I like old country. As well as 90s and Y2K and some early 2010s. But it went to crap after that. At least even some of the girls, beer, and trucks songs got a bit redundant. But the best was still good. For a while many country songs sucked all the way around. The lyrics and the beat

I quit listening to country when the horrible, ghetto style of country music began playing several years ago. It only got worse from there.

I'll check out my local country radio stations to see what they're spinning.

The only country band I'm familiar with that has the old school 1980s-1990s style of country music is Midland which if you haven't listened to them highly recommend it.

Can't say for sure because I gave up after autotune entirely. I've since the 80's been on the fence on what's not depressing truck driving music or had to put the dog down as bullshit. Something like this would grab my attention once again..
