Well, when __I__ was a kid, there really weren't many TV shows like that. Movies, though, there were and I definitely saw movies that were inappropriate for my age. That said, because I was so young, the "inappropriateness" of it went over my head, so no harm done. This is why we shouldn't overreact to what kids are exposed to.
I guess if there was anything that was inappropriate for my age on TV it was the nightly dose of Vietnam War news seeing caskets draped in flags loaded and unloaded from planes. Seeing the Munich Massacre as it was happening at the 1972 Olympics wasn't good either. Neither were the Watergate hearings. Nor seeing news when the Yom Kippur War and subsequent Arab Oil Embargo occurred leading to the Energy Crisis. I got an education fast that the world was not Disneyland from these events. My transition from childhood to adulthood truly began by then.

They say Bugs Bunny Rd. Runner hour that we got to watch on TV when we were kids was too violent, so I guess that would be one. We used to always call my sister the road runner but if you look at them nobody ever died there was no blood it’s a cartoon.

Which is why some of them are off the air now, lol
Ren and Stimpy is on the top of my list. I grew up watching that and thought it was hilarious!
