I've been binge watching the 1964-1967 TV series Twelve O'Clock High.
I particularly like WWI and WWII.
My dad was an infantry man in Europe during WWII. But he was an airplane buff and flew his own PT-19 after the war.
When Twelve O'Clock High was on, the two of us would be glued to the TV.
He would point out the B-17s, BF-109Es, FW-190As, P-47Ds, etc on TV. My mom was less than enthusiastic and would say things like "Oh look. There's a QB 2 11R" just to be a smart ass. LOL
He even took me out to the Chino Airport where the series was filmed. He used to take me to airports, air shows, air museums, and the WWI aero-historian club he belonged to. His enthusiasm rubbed off on me. I learned a lot from him.
