s When it comes to family games, Uno is a personal favourite. But my favourite board game is talisman. It’s long winded and nerdy, not much of a family game though.
m My favorite boardgame of all time would be wingspan. I can highly recomend it if you can at least tolerate birds as the main theme (also there is a dragon version of the game comming soon).
Its not that hard once you get to know it, but not a game to play once in a while.
A party game thats really good for children is peotry for neanderthals. Super funny game.

One of the go tos for our family get togethers is telestrastions.
Basically Chinese whispers in drawing form.
You could also diy it for cheap. Basically take turns alternating between drawing or guessing what was drawn for different prompts until it gets back to the owner and then show off the way it devolved 😂
We do family board games regularly when the kids come over. Some of the regular games are Catan, Alhambra, Carcazone, Rumoli and a new one we just got called Plunder. They are good for a variety of ages and our granddaughter has been playing them with us since she was about 8.
Uno is always a fun group game. I love Scrabble and Trivia Pursuit, but those are hard for kids. Apples to Apples and Headbandz are fun games for the family.
Smess, the ninny's chess, Backgammon, Parchisi, Sorry, Mousetrap, Battleship, Trivial Pursuit, Chinese checkers, (although it's not exactly a board game) Stadium checkers, Chutes And Ladders, possibly a few others I'm drawing a blank on.
Uno or Crazy Eights can be played by any age, and several people can play. Pictionary can also be fun. Or why not just play Charades... requires no equipment.

Chess is literally the only board game I enjoy. All other board games are lame, including Go.
I've never played Go but I can see it's lame because all the pieces are look the same.
