I did as a child. My favorite was the Jughead and Archie ones:
Also the classic Conan comics:
I didn't care so much for superheroes though like Spiderman and Superman. I always found the idea of superpowers boring (along with magic in fantasy). Conan really appealed to me though since he's just a really strong man and entirely human with no superpowers. I wanted to become big and strong like him.
Also loved to read the Conan books from Robert E. Howard back then (was part of the way I learned English). It was originally the books that appealed to me, then the comics next when I discovered there are Conan comics in the comic book stores. I think this is one of the most badass quotes of all time:

Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split [...]
Hokuto No Ken as well in Japan. That one involved martial arts superpowers but every fight was deadly and main characters would die left and right (like a Game of Thrones for little children):
So it didn't have the trend of some of those superhero stories where they end up fighting over and over and no one even ever dies. I found that extremely boring.
I was never into them, no... but my best friend is, so I've checked and read a few of his
No, never liked comic books or cartoons.
