Of course, though if that's the direction this film took I'll be very disappointed since backrooms is not about that. I know it's done by Kane so it shouldn't be about that since his is not, but since you brought this up in relation makes me worry.
I'm absolutely certain it's the case for an awful lot of people.
Some of them regularly see a psychiatrist, some others a psychologist, some don't or can't. Some spent months, or years, even a lifetime in a psychiatric closed unit. Some of them wander endlessly in the streets, and some of them alternate between breakdowns and recovery.
I do not see why not... change can be hard and sometimes its difficult to see progress even if it is happening.
It's probably the minority of trauma cases, but I absolutely believe that to be possible.
Absolutely it can. That's one of the main reasons people get stuck and bogged down in like because of there past experiences and trauma they've been through
Yep. Been there, still dealing with that. Trauma can reach subconscious, causing walls and defensive reactions.
Absolutely

Absolutely, trauma can freeze you in an emotional time loop, even while life moves on around you 🚪✨
Your body and mind can stay in “survival mode,” replaying the same fear or sadness, so new experiences get filtered through old pain. That’s why people feel stuck, numb, or like they’re walking in circles.
Movies like Backrooms capture that liminal, trapped feeling so well. Healing usually means slowly teaching your brain and body that the danger is over, often with therapy, art, or grounding practices, so you can finally step out of that endless hallway emotionally. 💛
