How Many "Friends" Do You Really Have?

How Many

There's so many people in our lives that have this title.

This "title" holds so much value, but yet it's constantly given to those who would never

be there for you in your time of need.

Some of us have so many "friends".

The fact that you have plenty, is what allows you to gain popularity.

But have you ever asked yourself, how many of these "friends" are true?

How many of them will be there when the going gets tough?

You laugh.
You play.
You engage yourselves in daily conversation.
You relate to each other on each and every aspect.

But then there comes a time,

when you need your dear "friend."

You need the love.

You need the support.

You need the advice,

that is the core substance of what a "friend" has to offer.

But where has your "friend" gone?

Oh no, you're all alone.

All by yourself.

Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.

The friendship title means so much to mean that I am wary of who I give it to.

A friend is someone who will be there for me through sunshine,

through storm, through darkness, through light.

I'll gladly do the same.

No, my dear friend

don't ever feel that you're asking too much of me.

It is my honor.

I care for you.

I love you.

I see you no differently than I would a brother or a sister.

Most of us say we have many friends,

but what we really have is a companion,

sometimes even an enemy in disguise.

This person's company we enjoy in the essence of time.

What's lacking from this relationship is the deep emotional investment that

true friends have to offer.

True friends bond together like a family.

They are there for each other through thick and thin.

The quality of their relationship is not translucent in nature.

No matter who they are, or where they are, their bond is like a chain.

It is one that is not easy to break.
