How to convince my friend he is being catfished?

I need some advice. I have a friend who is "dating" this "girl" who claims to be a Russian singer and actress. However if you look on her Facebook profile there are no pictures of her except for like modeling photos and photos from the internet. Plus she only has about 40 something friends and most of them are males. He met her on xbox live and he says that when he asks her to Skype with him she never lets him see her face. She says its because she doesn't want to expose her self because she is famous. She also has all of these unbelievably sad personal stories. None of which I can find any reference to on the internet when I google the person she is supposed to be. She also says she is 26 and has 7 kids. I can find no record of that person having any kids. Everyone except for my friend is sure that she is a catfisher. So my question is: How do we convince him that he is being catfished? Everytime we try to he has an excuse for her. Any advice would be helpful. thanks.

I am impressed, she looks like a model after 7 kids. lol If she has let him see a photo of her, then she has already exposed herself. Does he send her money? Is your friend desperate for any woman to like him?

i don't think he has sent her any money yet. The only photos he has seen of her are ones on her Facebook. He said she sent him dirty photos but when he reverse image searched them they were all over the internet and they belonged to some p*rn star, and anything else she sends is like photos of a leg or things like that. Never a face. He seems like he is just flattered by the fact that she is interested. I also think he doesn't want to be wrong about her.

It may be that he just enjoys the fantasy, and on some level already knows better. It may be more like an interactive romance novel or something for him. I can't imagine he is really dumb enough to think she is real. She is clearly not real and we don't even know as much about her as he does.

I know, but he just sounds so ridiculous when he talks about it. I'm like "how could you be so naive." He keeps telling everyone that the more they say she isn't real the more it is going to push him towards her because he wants to prove she is real. I mean he is talking about moving to Russia for this girl and he has never even really seen her face.

than let him find out for himself

It's just crazy because he is alienating himself from all of his friends. Do you think that he is being Catfished or do you think we are all just being paranoid?

He's already talking about moving to Russia to be with her. Now he hasn't discussed this with her but he just sounds crazy.

I guess you're right. Its just so frustrating to hear all of this and know the truth but when you tell him he just asked so naive.
