What was your family's attitude towards nudity at home while you were growing up?

While i was growing my family were quiet open and relaxed about nudity around the home. My parents are together and I also had a younger sister and younger brother by 2 and 5 years.
We never just walked around naked for the sake of it but sometimes it was just practical and we didn't really care. For instance if i forget to take clean clothes into the bathroom for a shower i would walk nude from the bathroom to my bedroom to get dressed or there was a couple of occasions on camping trips in national parks where we would change into swimmers in the open.

Im curious how open other families were with nudity?

I had seen my mom nude, father and elder bro in underwear. I was in teen when started sleeping nude in my room. Once my mom entered when I was reading lying on bed totally naked. She thought perhaps I had forgotten to switch off light. Instead of knocking at door, she just pushed it lightly, and it was open. When she saw me, she seemed to be bit surprised and shocked. Without saying anything, she went away. Next morning, she took up the subject. I explained her that being nude was nothing sexual, rather a liberating feeling. Since she was herself practicing nudity sometimes, she accepted my version. Encouraged by it, I started walking around nude when father and bro were not at home.

Pretty chill. Both my parents would walk around the house naked when I was little. When I lived with my Mum and my stepdad I did too. Like I think most kids I had a phase in my early teens where I started being weird and embarrassed about nudity, a phase my brother and sisters are going through now. But mostly we don't care that much

When I was growing up, my family was very against nudity, oh as children we bathed together, but overall my family thought all nudity was sexual, even nude art was seen as pornagraphic. I have pretty much the opposite attitude today but most of my family still holds to this view.

I'm the youngest of four, born in the mid 60's. My parents were loving, but authoritarian. From my memories, the conclusion I'd have to draw is that pre-pubescent children were ALLOWED to be naked at times. I never saw my parents, oldest sister or brother naked. My other sister and I bathed together until , let's see, I was about 9 so she was almost 12. Kids didn't hit puberty as fast back then. We'd go from our rooms to the bathroom naked. After whatever cutoff age Mom picked, you'd better be appropriately dressed at all times. Shortly after the arbitrary cut off date, my sister apparently 'forgot' and went from her room to the bathroom naked one evening. My Dad said "you know you're too old for that." She pretended to be horrified, giggled and scurried into the bathroom. Mom would've been furious.

we were ok to be nude sometimes when we were little girls, but when we started getting hair down there and boobs we had to start covering up. but it was mostly just walking from our bedroom to the shower and back, or changing into or out of bathing suits
