Why does my dad treat me like im a boy?

he's hard on me. Strict. Shows no tenderness. Never talked to me about the birds the bees. Even my mom notices. he's also very crtical on my appearance.

You don't talk much about him but he seems to be a 1950's macho jerk. I am not saying your dad is a jerk, the 1950's macho jerk is a stereotype to make reference to 1950's men who were really masculine, and where not in touch with their femenine energy, hence why he is strict, he is very critical with you, you are around 20 years old and so you have a very different dress style than women when he was young, he probably doesn't show emotions, and tries to hide his feelings to not look weak. Now this is speculation based on your very short paragraph about your dad.

Could you elaborate more on your relationship with him, how does he treat your siblings, what is like the relationship with your mother.

Why is it that parents have to treat their male offspring with strictness? Are girls innocent throughout their childhood and never in need of strict parenting? Do you have a brother that he treats better than you or are you the only child?

Some parents just aren't very good parents, even though I see nothing wrong with his methods personally. I'd probably be hard on my kids as well, male or female, it doesn't matter. Teaches them that they can't get through life having everything handed to them and will better prepare them for adulthood.

parenting is rather knew.. kids used to work now they actually have to raise them.. dont take it personal he's from a generation where they have kids and dont raise them properly..
