No it's not. You have to ask nicely for a bit of space though. Keeping your spirits high and having some self TLC is important. You also need to look after yourself and if they are pulling you down maybe some distance might really help. If it is something they are doing or the moods they are always in then maybe be firm and tell them how you feel or otherwise tell them they might need to get cut off. If they really are a close friend they will understand where you are coming from and if they are a good friend they will try their hardest to change that behaviour.

No, it’s not. You could even keep it simple and just tell them you want some space to focus on yourself. If they push for a better response, you can say they you guys are just at different junctures in your life, and the friendship doesn’t feel right anymore.

In my opinion they're not close if you feel this way. Distance yourself without saying anything gradually. I think you need to be honest with yourself that you don't like them or don't feel comfortable and that they're not a friend you want.

Depends on what the "Bad Vibes" are. If it was something relatively minor I'd say yes it's wrong/mean, if it's something serious and could get you into trouble I think giving yourself distance from them is a really good idea

I had a friend demand that I go to her sister's house, I almost agreed then I heard a very load and firm male's voice say no. I didn't go. I later found out she was using crack and who knows what. I think she was going to do something bad to me. I was 18 and she was 29, not that age matters.
