Girlfriend broke up with me but still texts me.

First, we had a really good relationship. But I screwed up by not giving her the love and affection that she needed and well deserved. I didn't yell at her or cuss her out or anything it;s just she needed me to show her I loved her not just say it. I guess you can say I got comfortable by not wowwing her or doing anything romantic, I get now. I am a total idiot for not loving her as much as she loved me. But, this is the issue. We were together for 2 1/2 years and we broke up 2 months ago. She wanted to be friends and all that but I told her I couldn't because it would hurt too much. I asked her not to message me, by email, text, bbm, or call. So she texts me out the blue asking me why her car won't start. I asked if she need a ride and she said she says she has one. But why would she message me asking me that when I specifically asked her not to? and what should I do? I tried to win her back and she said for me to let her go ..

From a girl's point of view, if I was doing that I'd probably be doing it to keep you interested, kinda like a back up. Yeah, it's messing with your feelings but she's not thinking about that. I'm not saying that's what she is doing though, it could be completely innocent. If you had no interest in someone at all, not texting/emailing/calling wouldn't be hard to do.

The best thing to do is ignore her, I know it's hard... I'm currently doing the same thing with my ex. Ignore her until she's begging for you back, and if she doesn't then I guess it's not meant to be. In the meantime though, try forgetting about her and focusing on other aspects of your life.

You know I was thinking the same thing, but she'll text me once every 2-3weeks or so... Last time is was out of the blue asking me when Manny Pacquiao is fighting and who... like she couldn'nt look it up.. But maybe you're right as well.
