Yes in France this is the case that it's illegal as well as parts of Canada except in France it's inadmissible as evidence if the mother doesn't want it admitted to court which in turn leaves the man, father or not on the financial hook for the next 20 years.
My advice then, don't have kids in your country, emigrate out if there as soon as possible or never have a child, never allow a woman to stay overnight and always use protection and get rid of it yourself after use, never allow the condoms to be supplied by her and if she does anything such as to cause it to break always stop and use a new one or stop altogether.
As for should you tell her yes if you are together and there is doubt no if you aren't together and there is doubt, then again if your having the test done then your already doubting her anyway so why bother telling her just get it done.

Well, I believe honesty and transparency are requirements in this situation as secrets, that might be revealed in the future, can cause distrust in a relationship. I don’t exactly know the legality of this in my state or country, so I cannot answer to that. I’ll assume it’s legal for the father to get a paternity test with or without the mother’s approval and without her being notified. I think the husband/father should tell the mother that he wants this done and why and a good wife/mother won’t deny him and everyone gets what they want. The husband didn’t lie or deceive his spouse and the wife didn’t deny him a rather simple request. If a father or husband wants to do this behind the mother’s back then there might be some insecurity or ego involved, as well as the mother denying him of doing this.
If he is suspecting her of cheating and his sense tell him the child may not be his. He should do it without sharing
Women cheat and lie about babies men have a right to know whose kid

Wth! Why is that illegal?
I dont know what kind of laws are being made these days, we can't even verify our things & people?
LolYou hear about all these women having other men's kids and not tell their husbands for decades sometimes, i'd say men should have the right to do that legally. However i think if a man gets a dna test it's perfectly fine and i don't see why he must get the woman's permission
Its his right to know before he has to do all the duties of a father so it is what is...
Must have been women that made that law!
If the test came back positive, then there would be no reason to tell her.
If it came back that the child wasn't his, what recourse would he have since it is against the law?The only reason to get a paternity test is if you doubt you are the father. In that case the mother should have to prove he is the father if she wants child support.
God that's fucked up it's like they want you raising a bastard.
He should only tell her if he wants trouble. If he is NOT the father, he should let his lawyer tell her.
TBH, these sort of things should be mandatory and done by law for each birth, just to avoid issues.
No. He should be able to verify that he's telling the truth
Isn't the whole point of doing it illegally NOT to tell her? If you're going to tell her than aren't you just doing ti legally?
Well, let's back that up. If the mother accepted a sperm blast from someone other than her husband, should she tell him?
In our country, we just asked for a paternity test to the judge and he will just order it. There is no asking the other parent's permission.
No it's up to him if he wants a test. Some guys are bringing up kids that arnt even theirs and the girl plays happy family's
Fuck her. She didn't tell him she fucked the mail man.
i would. let her know that i'm not a person that wants to get played.
A paternity test should be mandatory in all births.
I'm actually of the opinion that a paternity test should be required at birth
No wtf, if it ain't his he should know. Don't be a snitch
The fact that this shit is illegal is fucked. Way to many women commit paternity fraud and this bullshit helps them do it.
He shouldn't need to if he and her are not together.
