Why do people have a problem with breastfeeding?

It’s perfectly natural for a mom to breastfeed their own child. Why do others have a problem with it? I simply don’t understand the opposition. Have they never seen a boob before?

Moms, did you breastfeed your kids in public? Did anyone ever confront you? Did creeps just stare at you doing it?

I've fed my babies lots of times in public. I've gotten some weird looks and a few comments but thankfully nothing too bad. It makes no sense why it would bother someone to see breasts being used for what they were made to do. Some sick people think breast are sexual when they are not

It’s surprising to me.
In my honest opinion the reason why men sexualize breasts are because the only times they see nipples are in strip clubs or porn. Both times is when they want to sexualize nipples. Seeing them in just ordinary life is when society shames the woman to cover up but why are men’s nipples not sexualized in public? The lack of consistency is what’s confusing me. Are nipples sexualized or normalized? If I were to choose I’d say normalize this! FREE THE NIPPLE!!

It is wild, sadly not uncommon. Before the 20th century, it was quite common for women to openly feed in public without any hassle. As the 20th century came about. Views started to change and it was seen as uncultured and for the poor.
Interestingly enough, as World War 2 finished and there was a baby boom, formula became more mainstream and it was pushed as a better alternative to natural feeding this furthering the issue.
Wasn't until the 70's that it was made illegal to market formula that way since it wasn't 100% true. But the widespread damage was already done.
As you can see today, the practice of feeding out in the human wilderness is slowly picking up much to the dismay of people who can't mind their own business and oversexualize the breast

I’d also add that men are trained to sexualize breasts. Porn and intimacy are the only times we see women’s breasts and want to feel intimate.
Women see men’s nipples all the time in public (in a hot setting). Whenever women are shirtless even to breastfeed they are told to cover up and be modest.

Society has really trained both genders to believe that boobs are sexual. That should stop.

I've always believed that breasts are the ankles of today. It used to be that ankles were the sexiest part of our bodies. It was seen as both sexy and slutty to show them. Now look at how we view ankles today. No one batts an eye, right? Who's to say that, with more and more places making it legal for us to be topless, it won't go the same way as the ankle?

Very few men have a problem with breast-feeding in public - it's largely other women who object. To be fair, some women do it with decorum, and some just flop 'em out without a care in the world, and it's more the latter that other women object to.

My theory is jealousy of the attention. This is just a stereotype (sorry women) but women with big natural boobs get more attention and sex appeal. I’d argue that small well shaped boobs are beautiful too. It goes into preference but to my point: hurt people hurt people; the person telling other moms to cover up has sexual frustrations and low self esteem.

You can be courteous without being responsible for others. I can say what I want in public, but I am polite enough to watch how I speak by a child while in a public setting. It is not my responsibility to do so, but I do it out of courtesy.

Courtesy is nice but optional. It’s also courteous to not bother a mother feeding her baby the natural way. She isn’t feelings enforcement and isn’t responsible for everyone who sees.

You can cover up and feed at the same time or go to a private space. Obviously, being courteous is optional. What a redundant statement. Again, I never said they would be responsible or obligated to change for someone else's preferences. I stated it is courteous. You try really hard to get attention by being a simp cuck, don't you?
