Have you ever gotten in a car with someone of the other sex, and immediately felt awkward because their car is running horrible?

I rode with a friend of my wife in her car earlier for the first time. I got in and said hi, and all the sudden realized that her car was running horrible. It was shaking around so badly, that it didn't even occur to me at first, what was going on. She sat and talked like nothing was happening, but the entire car felt like it would stall at any moment. She never once acknowledged it at all, but sat parked a few times throughout the day with it running and never once saying a word. When we got to where we were going, we sat there and talked again, when almost every person who walked by stared at the car just barely running.
Please tell me someone else has found themselves like this, not knowing what to say...
My wife said she has done it as long as she has had the car. She says it is a little different with another girl, and that was it!
Why am I now fantasizing of going with her and my wife somewhere?
This has to have happened to someone else. It was beyond awkward, but fun

Tho I've ridden with this guy before in college. He was a classmate and we were doing a project together where we had to visit different places. He had a pickup. It looks really nice and clean but I was carrying a huge bag so i placed it in the backseat and when i turned around i saw this huge pile of mess hidden on the floor at the back lmao. Then we got moving and it felt and sounded weird and loud and every time he breaks it felt like i was in a bump car. When we were going back to uni his car. just gave up and stopped in the middle of the road. lol it was pretty awkward when it happened since we werent really close lol but we became friends bc we had to get through that together 😂

although i never fantasized anything like what you said lol thats. kinda weird but ok.🙂

If only I had just read it before posting it.
I definitely screwed this one up I guess. It was just so weird for her to just sit and talk, parked with her car running. If it was a typical experience it would have been nothing.
In this case, her car felt like it was just about to stall but never actually did. The engine was barely running, making the entire car shake insanely bad. Like so bad that the car was clearly visible to anyone outside of it,, everything inside was shaking pretty violently. She just sat and talked about nothing in particular for a long time like that.
Then the same thing happened 4 more times that day. It was just a very odd day. Never once did she even appear to notice

No no, it was embarrassing to reread is all. I was just feeling very awkward about it all I guess. I know she was doing it on purpose though, she just couldn't have sat there watching the car shake the hell out of my entire body, and not once notice.
That goes for me seeing her body shaking from it also. I just dont know lol.
It was probably shaking far worse than I can explain

Yeah, I felt stupid after the fact. I was just not sure how to feel or act guess.
I just never was in a situation like that. This friend of my wife says hello when I get in the car, then sits there and talks for a good half hour, never once acknowledging the fact that her car is shaking like it could stall at anytime. This happened the 4 times we stopped. I had just never really sat and talked to a woman like that, while in her car that is shaking so badly that people walking by look confused.
I don't know what to think about it
