Any advice on how to deal with the situation?

I am 19, one month away from being 20.
My childhood house got sold and I had to move with my mom or dad's girlfriend's house.
After my mom and I had a fight, my dad's girlfriend let me move in with them. She has kids.
She said she had to track my location, I had to tell her where I was going and who I was with, I had to be home by 11, I couldn't stay overnight at anyone's place.
She took my car because I expressed my lack of drivers education.
I've been using lyft that my dad pays for because he and girlfriend took my car.
I went to a friend's house using the lyft and they got upset, I told them I was staying overnight, they kicked me out.

All of my stuff is at dad's girlfriend's house and she told me she changed her garage code and has security cameras. I'm not allowed to grab my stuff. They said they would bring it to my friend's house. I am with my mom. Should I call the police to grab my stuff? Should I do nothing? What do I do to get my stuff back when they don't want me to get it?

Hi I think it's fucked up that your parents have to treat you like that instead of taking your car continue for why not pay for driving instructions to keep you going forward not hold you back why do they have to put a tracker on you find out where you're going this bullshit you are of age you can do what you want by putting a tracker on you makes you want to retaliate in a way and make you do stupid things just to do it they are creating you in a roundabout way to fail for what reason I think it's totally wrong and uncalled for can you give your kid love and respect and hopefully the foundation you built before they became of age did you do the same thing back and if not oh well they will learn but you don't do you get out of the street you have rules and they're simple rules that have to be followed nothing out of the ordinary I feel bad for you I really do the only thing I can say is that your parents do love you you must have been something to get the out of control or be looked at as if you might be out of control your teenager so what they were teenagers to don't call the cops just call your dad tell him that you're at your mom's and please bring your stuff over now if it takes him 2 weeks then yes go down to the police station call the police station to ask somebody to meet you over there so there's no trouble pick up your stuff and leave and thank you Dad at the same time before you leave and his wife for allowing you to become their little Pond or whatever and then when you go to your mom's house your mom's going to have rules just do what she says it's that simple if you're not going to do what she says talk to her about it do not argue with her she has a reason or the things that she tells you choose your mom she's been in all your predicaments probably and she doesn't want you to be hurt that's what it's all about they're trying to protect you in a way and I know you're an adult you're all grown up you don't need protection in today's world you know never know what's going to happen that's why you be honest no matter what with what you're doing in case something does happen you're more honest to them he will respect you more and give you more freedom but you have to be honest straight up no bulshit I can feel that you are a pretty good person you have a good heart you just want to experience life they just don't want you to experience it so hard that's all LOL I hope you good luck I wish you good luck each morning when you wake up you get to choose who you want to be in life pick the right person you choose to be who you want by the things you say and do so just be honest it's okay to be honest be that person that is the best person in the long run smile you worth it

For starters it sounds like you are stuck in a pickle & as of the moment I hope you are staying with friends or another family member until you clear things up & clear your head as well. I’m sure you’ve heard of the saying you live under my roof you live by my rules & that seems the case when it comes to living in your dad’s girlfriends house. I’m sorry to hear you got kicked out & I’m sorry to hear your dad’s girlfriend took your car as well. As for your car if the title of the vehicle is in your name she as in your dad’s girlfriend has no legal right to take your vehicle & if the vehicle is in your dad’s, dad’s girlfriend or mom’s name just remember the vehicle is their property & not yours. Moving forward you need to come up with a plan. You need a roof over your head & I would suggest reaching out to an aunt, uncle, grandparent or friend & ask them if you can stay with them until you get back on your feet. Secondly if the vehicle is under your name I would go down to the local police department & tell them what is going on & tell them you would like to retrieve your property & stuff as well & request that they be there when you do so. Sounds like you need a fresh start & I’m sure you will figure it out.

Phone the sheriff's department explain your situation. Do you owe them any money? Handle this situation with care ( kid gloves) you don't need them throwing your stuff in the trash. Once the police are involved they might change their tune if not this becomes a civil matter which means court. Hopefully things will resolve themselves all the best ❣️

Take my advice with a grain of salt because I've never had to deal with the law or anyone withholding my stuff from me. But I think that what you should do depends on what you value.

If you want your stuff back, wanna just be done with the situation and move on, and trust them enough to fulfill their word, then I think it would be best to wait it out and see if they're really going to bring it to the friend's house.

But if you don't trust them to hold true to their word, and you think they're just trying to take advantage of you or toy with you (on a very serious matter), then I agree with most on here. Gotta get the police involved!

And if all else fails, and you really really want a shot at (potential) justice, civil court is the next best legal option.

And ofc... There are always illegal ways of getting stuff back 💅 but I cannot condone

You DO understand that you are an adult? It's her home so she can lay down SOME ground rules that prevent you from disrupting her life, but she has no right to dictate to you the way you've portrayed her. Calling the police probably won't solve anything. First, you have to fill out a report, they will investigate, and if you're lucky, they will scare her into putting your stuff on the curb where anyone can grab it. If she says she will drop it at a friend's house, ask her when so you can be there to inventory what she brings.

Wow you are in tough spot, I would say make a mends with your mom and be her side bc she's your mom she will love you.
Seek her forgiveness be with her you will be safe and somepne who loves you.

And you had to control bratiness bc you should have an Allie to whom you could goto when situations get worse.

And ask your mom's help to get your stuff back bc she can charge over there and your father and his girlfriend would never want the drama that comes with her, so they would easily return your stuff no need of police when you have your mom.

Respect and love your mom and have to find job of not already you are havibg then you could go somewhere and rent a room or flat.
